I'll try and find the post but, I'm almost certain they chimed in and said it would be at a decreased amount.
http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/thr...e-in-eternal-crusade.802/page-136#post-275840 Its 100%. What will happen later is to be seen. I personally do wish it to have a reduction of around 20%.
Banning people on a free to play game so far is like putting a bandaid on a hemorrhage. Waterson is still plagued by aim bots, no clip, radar, and movement hacks.
What? He clearly states that the current percentage of damage the FF is doing is 100%. Thats what they are currently using ingame, im not seeing what you are interpreting out of that.
As i continue to repeat: the real factor is the behaviour of the community. A good community have no problem with FF abuse, a terrible community full of troll harraser etc etc will always find a method for ruin the fun for other people, no matter the FF 100% or 80% or 50% or 0% about that there is an old old miguel declaration about FF that new player will have reduced damage vs ally, while "veteran" will do full damage. i don't know where is the source sorry, and can simply changed in all this time.
Im sure they pondered the notion, im simply giving the most recent info, and that is Brents inside info on actual combat testing. Which is, like he said, still at 100%.
He then goes on in the very next paragraph (as part of further explaining the first) saying that ff is required in a game like this casting the 100% in the light of being in the game and not the amount done.
Murphy's Law: Friendly fire isn't. Having to watch your shots means a player actually has to pay attention to how they're fighting. This goes double for larger weapons like a Plasma Cannon or a grenade. I don't fancy getting killed by my own people but I'm ok with full blown friendly fire as I'm used to it from a lot of other games. Also...it could make things interesting. How badly do you really want to kill X enemy? It adds tactical options in combat, is the risk worth the reward?
Yes ok, i think we gathered that from the post. Again, what? Im truly not following what you are conveying here. Its a clean and simple answer from him, hes not casting a light on anything. Only thing that is said to counter the 100% is that he said they will listen to feedback as the game develops, paving the way to possible reductions.
