Please don't say fist in General. The problem here is Always JPA. Go running into a room with your fist...you probably die.... It's not the Fist...it's the JPA with it BUT here be a tip....If you want to unleash your hate. And pour some salt in that Fist Face Guy, Use a grav gun, then you can laugh. Totally agree. I'm kind of iffy with what they're doing with the PF. On one hand, I get it/understand it. On the other...I still feel it was the JPA more than the PF. Either way...if they are going to nerf the Fist, and especially if they are going to remove the ability to hold a charged power attack (if they do that)....then a Power Attack should totally stop a vehicle in it's tracks like it used to way back when. Edit: I do want to say this though, for the people making the, "an AV weapon is good at AI" argument. 1.) Yes, the PF is good at AI in lore/TT, BUT it is bad against groups because it is a very slow weapon. Basically, it is very lethal, but it's versatility/usability is low outside of it's niche. Like swinging something incredibly heavy...anyone you hit is going down...but hitting them is like trying to hit someone in slow-mo. 2.) In game, the weapon IS INCREDIBLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST INFANTRY, it really is. In a 1v1 of equal skill, you're either going to win outright, or at the least have an equal chance. In addition, you get to do some nasty damage to vehicles and, you also have the best "assassin" hit (read OHKO) potential. The weapon is ineffective versus groups of infantry. 3.) The weapon in game IS ineffective versus groups of infantry, or fast hectic situations. That being said...everything seems to match up so I'm not sure why people are acting like it suddenly isn't good at AI work. It's still good at AI work...just not against groups or hectic situations. As stated before, when you hit someone you're going to wreck them, but you better be in a situation where speed won't be your immediate enemy.
Pardon the interruption, but that point is bullshit. The difference between a missile and a rocket is the presence of a guidance system on the former. You can have anti-personel missiles(Mini-Spike) just as much as you can have anti-materiel rockets(that's what a Bazooka is).
This is the exact point i was trying to explain. It's great in small fights....But if you have to move around, or are outnumbered you WILL die. And even in a 1v1 Vs an aware Ranged....You will more than 50% of the times Die. The power fist is perfect for what is meant to do. It has just been abused by, again, what keeps abusing everything?JPA
Perfect! Walk around with GAfister and PF will be nerfd by only one reason... JPAfist spam. GA with PF atm too vulnerable as infantry and middle skill players can counter him and kill without problem. What happen now? I'm anyway will be play as GAfist.
Boy oh boy do I wonder what happens when you're against FD that is further then 20 meters away while you have bolter I guess we now know who was the nerd in the class
I don't play LSM or CMS but I do agree. I am certain the weapon itself is not the issue, the issue lies with the class using them en masse, the JPA. I never see anyone complaining about a ground assault using a fist, why? Because we have usually mown them down before they get onto us. The JPA class is broken in its current iteration, it does not do, what it says on the box. Not to mention there are way too many of them in every game I play against LSM which is pretty much every game nowadays, I wonder why.
Who uses the fist anyway? I'm looking forward to the Axe not sucking again, being more in line with the Ork Axe which in comparison to SM is lightning fast What would be great is if other power weapons would be more viable for Anti Tank purposes. Maybe reign in the Fist / Klaw's Anti Tank damage and give a bit more to other Power Weapons. The TTK from Fist & Klaw vrs Tank is stupidly short anyway. Like 4 Strong Attacks for Fist, 3 for Klaw.
