Imperialis Vindictus (star Wars Rp)

  1. "I...I...I don't know! Honestly I don't know! I just work here, I'm not even a part of whatever you're doing here! Let me go and I'll make sure the Major doesn't know about this . . . "

The man pleaded as he continued to struggle. Behind him, the consoles began to light up with multiple warning messages and several lights were beginning to switch from an emerald green to amber and then a few to blazing red. Whatever they had been monitoring appeared to have been upset by their forced entry but there was no way of knowing as to what it would entail.

One thing for certain was that a small dial that read "Oxygen/Carbon Mix" was beginning to red-bar which most definitely might not be a good sign and would explain the rising temperature Valpine had suffered from in the vents.

"HAHAHA you won't tell the Major?! And you think I'm stupid enough to believe you don't know about the war games?" He glanced at the gauges that were going haywire. "Shutdown the comms throughout the building and plunge it into darkness. Then I might consider letting you go."

He considered their next course of action while the technician considered his next move. "I haven't got all day. Where is this Major at anyways. I think we need to pay him a visit."
  3. "This is only an environment control hub. We don't have access to those systems! You have no idea what you're doing. Let us go or you'll be making the situation worst for yourselves!"

The man continued to rant, this time becoming angry despite the situation. There would be no reasoning with him but that didn't mean the consoles couldn't be sabotaged and with all his yelling, it would be best to shut him up before someone started to investigate the argument.

GM Note: The Major is an actual officer of the Academy who is in charge of both security and technical upkeep of the installation. He has no part in the War Games other than insuring nothing too drastic happens.

Andros quickly bashed the technician in the head with the blaster in an attempt to knock him unconscious. Once that was done he went to the control panel. "Environment Control Hub huh? Well let's see if they like it cold shall we." With that he cranked all of the controls to their coldest settings. Once the controls were set he yanked some of the exposed wires out so that he could tie the two technicians.

Once they were bound and gagged he turned back to Valpine, "Well no better time than now I guess." Opening the door to the maintenance room he crept down the hallway with the stun baton and training blaster in hand. They needed to find the flag before day break and get back out. Hopefully Straf was alright, they would have to look for him on their way. "They are probably keeping the flag in the middle of the base so that's probably are best bet to look there first."

Valpine watched as Andros knocked out the technician then sabotaged the controls. "Vents were getting to warm he could have had a point." She said "Hope it doesn't get to bad for the barracks." She said as she grabbed up her blaster she began searching both of the knocked out technician for things. "Suggest we try to find Straf He could be anywhere. Do you have a map of the barracks or any idea were we would be going? on the inside?" She asked as she got near the matience door taking cover and kept her blaster near her. She took off her helmet for a minute to wipe the sweat off her face then put it back on. She kept up with andros blaster in her hands as she moved she stayed near objects that provided cover and kept a eye out for cameras.

  6. As Andros turned to address Valpine, the central dial began to slowly rise further into the red zone and eventually ascending beyond the color-coded margins. Small cracks began to appear along its surface in addition to even more lights flaring in blood red patterns, like a swarm of pestilent boils jutting out for attention. Despite having been turned in the opposite direction, the temperature remained excessively humid and the vents began to release a mustardish fog which reeked of burning hair and cloth yet no fire was evident.

Before either one could comment, the communications horn inlaid on the console began to squeak to life as dozens of transmissions began to overlap in requests for orders or clarification on the rapidly rising temperature. To make matters worst, a more persistent voice laced with anger and age was directly hailing them. If the increase of swearing was anything to go by, it seemed the man was becoming impatient at not receiving a response and was threatening to have the two technicians flogged when he arrived.

Without warning, sparks blew out from a nearby console bank and small flames belched out from the sensitive machinery which quickly began to spread across the data banks. Small nozzles built into the ceiling suddenly become erect as they activated, releasing blizzard-cold swathes of vapor to put out the fires yet even as one was extinguished, another one burst into life. What have they done . . .

Straf was alerted to the crys of alarm, most of them screaming something about a fire before a detonation was heard outside of the hallway. The doorway buckled slightly, its hinges caving inwards as the extreme heat of the explosions blast caused it to melt like paper upon an open flame. Seething gusts of sweltering air brushed against his face, its acrid scent capable of causing even the most staunchest of stomachs to let loose their contents.

With the flare of the explosion dying out, screams of pain and misery began to rush inwards even as a recruit, on fire from head to toe slowly trundled by before collapsing right outside the door. Face turned towards Straf, the flesh slowly melted away layer by layer revealing the glistening, tender flesh beneath which roasted rapidly in the inferno. Eyeball popping with an audible, sickening splat, the corpse continued to hold a deathless scream of pain before it dissapeared from view as clouds of ice-cold vapor swept over it.

Out of nowhere, a crew of heavily armored figures appeared in the doorway in full environment suits and cryo-tanks in an effort to combat the fires sweeping through. They had no markings but moved in an orderly precision which spoke of them being actual soldiers and not recruits though they appeared to have no interest in noticing Straf.

With the entrance way still molten hot, it was impossible to escape nor should he attempt to out this way lest another explosion sweep the building. Better to look around or test the vents to see if he could escape another way . . .

"Huh, looks like the other guys came through." Straf stood up, and stretched. "Better go get that flag now." He began looking around the closet for a way out, as well as inspecting the vents to see if the heat from the fires and explosion have rendered that passage unusable (not to mention if its cover is screwed in or not).

Shielding his eyes from the sparking panel he turned to Valpine, "Well that didn't go as expected! Let's get outta here before that angry guy gets here!" Turning down the smog filled corridor he began making his way. Looking for a fire extinguisher he could use if any fire blocked their path. "You have any idea which way to go?"

"No" Valpine said as she looked to Andros. "How did Cooling the place turn it into a Fire ball?" She asked as she followed andros but keeping close to cover. "We should also find straf then find a way out It also sounds like others are starting to die This is bad." She says. as she moved with him. "Also wasn't that a secuirty?" She said as she moved

"Yea it seems like that's the case. And I have no clue how cold turned into fire!" He didn't mention the two who 'fell' from the roof. He didn't want to think about the trouble that was caused. But maybe they would evacuate the building due to the chaos!

Walking down the hall, "Well maybe they will evacuate the building. If that's the case it would be easier to capture the flag. It could make finding Straf easier. But if I know Straf he'll be heading for the flag!"
