  1. Gerborov nodded and headed for the entrances while making his way there he left several fake traps through the use of scrap and rubble. He made it look as if there were land mines and trip wires when really they were just piles of rubble with metal bits coming out. When he came across an entry point he marked it with the training knife and he then created more fake traps at the rest of the entry ways and mixed in a few real snares so that if anyone caught on they would be imidiatly take by the snare as soon as they made it around the door way. He then went to the back of the building placing more real snares as he went in the back while also being on the look out for traps set by his prime.

He then chose the first exit he found as the true exit marking it agian with the training knife and fake mined the rest of the exits as well as sneaking a few snares and even some rigged smoke grenades."it is done I'm heading back to the trenches now, I've marked the true entrance and exit with the training knife just look for the word minefield written in red of and the mines are not real but please look out I did make a few snares oh and rigged a few grenades on trip wires." He then went through the true exit and went back to the trenches and sat on the opposite side to 923 so they would get a cross fire on the exits while he didn't expect the trainees to make it through the actual one but through the other heavily trapped exits. He calls in "This is Gerborov ready when you are sergeant."

  2. With what seemed to be a finished trap building, Ferenien would head into it's 'woodwork', to await incoming guardsmen to the building; first he had to report into the command sergeant. "Tempestor Prime Votum. In position- Ready and Waiting."

With Alton, Saven's old NCO from her time in the 19th Valerian having turned up, regardless of whether he was here to watch or do something else, she gave the man a little wave before replying to those that had reported in (@Mechiaus , @Verticus , @TuskatheDaemonKilla ) "Good, if we're all ready then it's time to let the recruits have a go on our course, and see if any of them have a hope in the warp of surviving an actual battlefield." So she stood up and loudly yelled at the PDF commander "WE'RE READY FOR YOU TO GET THE DAMN TRAINING EXERCISE GOING!"

After letting the commander know he can start sending meat into the grinder her squad had prepared, Saven got herself in position, using one of the platforms as cover from the recruits that made it this far, setting the lascarbine to low-power and ready to show them that not every opponent fought in the same manner as say, the average ganger would. Once ready for trouble, she said over her comm-bead to the squad "Well, I've told the commander he can begin the exercise, so time for us to see how good the PDF really is."
  4. "Sergeant just one question where did the Catachan go? I haven't seen him since 923 and I went to dig the trenches." Gerborov wasn't worried he was more just curious. He like anyone else in the guard for any period of time had heard of the Catachan Devils and their reputation as some of the best jungle fighters in the entire imperium. So there was no real reason to worry unless he had fallen asleep some where. @Vulpas @Maleth

The PDF Commander grimaced. He made an hand gesture. Suddenly a series of smoke shells fell onto the course exploding. This would hamper everyone. The recruits decended into the course slowly, one at a time at first. The first recruit was the unluckest. He tripped the snare mind and got blown back. Luckily, Vassar (@CommissarGaunt) was not able to steal good explosives. The recruit got blown sideways and was scrapped up. He was down for the course, but the rest of his squad slowed further to check for traps.

Baren was in his chair as everyone left, a Litho stick in his mouth as he left he began to go make a few surprises for the recruits, Deciding to put up his flash bang and noise traps when the others had completed and left there parts of the exercise course making surprises for all. Getting from the training courses supplies of ,Smoke, flash, and nonlethal concussion grenades.

Planting them and making make shift mines and trip wire traps he began placing them in the trench, and in paths recruits would have to take to reach there objective, Recruits would logically try to take other paths but the would put them in the line of there fire.

After doing this he went to the armory to grab a shock maul and a webber and lasgun filled with training charges. He soon appeared looking late but knowing he did his job he had no quarrels. "Sorry I took so long all, had to do some final additions to the course." Barren said
  7. Gerborov turned his head toward the sound of the actual explosion. "Ah ok well I think I know what the corporal was doing now and this smoke was unexpected. Just incase you need to move back only go through the exits marked with the word minefield other wise I will fire upon anyone that goes through the unmarked exits." He then aimed the carbine making sure it is set to the non lethal setting. He then checked his remaining. flash grenades and his training knife if he got into hand to hand the recruits will regret coming into his side of the trench he would make sure of that.

As the first group passed by where the snare mines had been the second group started to move out. The recruits were coming in full squads of sixteen. They did have some tactics driven into them. These recruits were excellent at using this urban environment. They were well armed to boot. With various variants of the training lascarbine, including long-las, shock weapons, and non-lethal grenades. And being heavy infantry all are in Carapace Armor. The first wave was just making it to the Killroom as the third wave passed the pipe marking the beginning.

Edit OOC: made a mistake in the layout.its kill room now.
  9. Eyes stalking as the second wave began its advance, Vassar pushed out from her enclosure and lit the Molotov. Tossing it in a low arc to avoid detection as she took cover behind a larger section of fallen masonry, she aimed for the line of refuse which dotted along the entire course. Watching as the vile chemical concoction splintered against the metal sheet work even as the promethium combusted to ignite the gutter trash below, Vassar was pleased as fire began to spread rapidly across the field.

Having made sure there were no recruits in the direct path, the fire flared briefly before consuming its way hungrily across the length of the approach effectively cutting off the two advancing waves except for in a few locations creating unforeseen bottle necks along the approach. Ebony skin hidden amongst the darkness even as the licking flames kicked up smoldering shadows against the background, she slipped back into the darkness.

Stalking around the flanks, Vassar ghosted along the extreme edge of the second wave making her way slowly to the temporary command post. However as she passed a low lying gutter, she almost walked face first into a recruit with the same idea in mind.

Carrying a modified long las and a signal flare, the recruit was obviously a spotter but fortunately for her, was unprepared for the fiery backwash which had begun to mess with the recruits night vision. Vassar, having taken the appropriate precautions was unaffected and slid into a small alcove and waited for the scout to past. As soon as he did, the Corporal grabbed him in a choke hold and began to smother him. Caught unaware and with the bulky carapace preventing the necessary movements to undo the grapple, the recruit was quickly rendered unconscious.

Hiding the unconscious scout in a low lying trench, she swapped out her uniform for the brighter carapace and took the scouts armaments and equipment. While a little small for her larger frame, it would do the job at first inspection which would be all she would need. Wiping paint across her shoulder to make it look like she had been struck by a paint knife, she began to limp back towards the rear lines of the attacking force using the long las as a make shift crutch.

By now the third wave was fast approaching and she hollered out to them for assistance. With her uniform, the darkness, and the fact she appeared injured after the sudden appearance of fire, there was very little doubt they would stop her from retreating to the "wounded or killed in action" part of the field...right next to her target.
  10. As soon as the Killroom wave came, Ferenien would torment the group, firing at legs and other body parts to incapacitate members of the sixteens, keeping high and in the shadows, using rafters as cover as well as pillars to continue such a Guerrilla tactic against his 'foes'; Of course he was leading them to a light-void trap-filled room all the while he employed his degenerating tactics, to end them with a blind grenade bouquet as soon as they fell for his Guerilla ruse.
