"Well, should we find a large creature having an emergency heavy weapon will be worthwhile... perhaps a plasma weapon could be speared" she bows her head.
"Brought my kit with me." Auriel replied, as she examined the faces of each member, hers concealed safely behind the hood.
"You forgot to tell them that we're already short on equipment," General Valfjar whispered to Eljor's ear, "I think we can't spare anything." Dammit, Eljor thought and locked eyes with the commissar, "I assure you, with your current equipment you will be capable of handling anything this planet throws at you." "Good lad, you too." The general praised again, "I hope it has everything you require?"
Auriel raised an eyebrow beneath her hood. She hadn't been called lad often, being female and all. "I can't accurately answer that question until someone is injured. And of course, there's never enough medical supplies when you need them."
"That is true," The general agreed, "I have full confidence in your skills, and I am certain that you will not be passing out when you see blood." He sighed and locked eyes with each member for a short while, "This mission will be dangerous, there is a chance that some of you may not survive and every bit of skill will be required. Which is why," He slapped his aide's shoulder and smiled, "Corporal Eljor Tolza here will be going with you." Should have known, Eljor thought and feigned shock, "But General! Who will handle your paperwork? Keep your command tent clean? And most importantly; make your favourite morning recaf!?" "I know how to make all of those myself! And I have observed you make that recaf for many years now, I know every secret behind its taste!" The general snapped, "You're going with them, whether you like it or not!" Corporal Eljor Tolza stood there for a moment, looking dumbfounded. "Any objections from you?" General Valfjar asked the group, his voice cold as ice.
Lucius looked at Eljor. He saw the shocked look, and hid as much amusement as he could. "No general, I think it'll be just fine"
"I shall keep him as well as anyone else safe to my utmost best, sir!" The Ruvornian announced, considering himself some sort of Protector and Guardian.
"Good, lads," The general praised once more, "I knew I could trust you the moment I saw you!" Corporal Eljor moved silently between the chairs, going for the door. "I shall fetch my weapons and armour then, I shall come back soon." He left the room quickly and closed the door behind him.
"Sir! Request to follow Corporal Eljor and bond in soldier-manners with a comrade, Sir!" Jens saluted towards the General.
Lucius sniggered quietly at Jens. He quickly stopped himself though, he looked away from Jens, and continued to play with his knife
