They are cursed by khorne. I have their supplement. Yeah they dont scream blood for the blood god but are affiliated. Valrak it is hinted at talon that they fight and ofc Sigismund wont probably survive. But as I said its not in the lore yet so its just speculation for now. (But heavily hinted by ADB just to give some street rep to abbadon in my opinion)
Then they better make it so that the fight between Sigismund and Abaddon a close one,,, if they just sacrifice Sigismund, possibly the best swordsman short of being a primarch or boosted by chaos in the 30k universe, just to give Abaddon a boost in lore they will prove once and for all they hate the Sons of dorn (black templars extra much)
yep by the time of their duel siggy is way over 1000 years old. Only with zeal and duty to keep him alive.
Heh...remember that Abaddon is virtually at Primarch levels of power these days, is boosted by all four marks of Chaos, carries Horus' old lightning claw in one hand and in the other the living, daemon-possessed blade Drach'nyen, which is one of the most (if not actually the most) lethal melee weapons in the galaxy. He's been at this for 10,000 years, but unlike Sigismund he hasn't aged as a result of his time in the warp. IMO, that wouldn't be about boosting Abaddon in the lore, so much as reminding that he's Warmaster of the Traitor Legions and that he, and Chaos, are the single biggest threat to the Imperium for a reason. I entirely understand why you'd be annoyed on a personal level - Chaos fans have had to put up with our share of Kaldor Draigos and other "ROFL chaos always loses!!!" moments for a freaking long time. If GW is spreading the pain more evenly and including the loyalists in it, that's actually no bad thing in lore terms.
Still Sigismund was probably THE best mele fighter in the imperium (only counting those that are not primarch or high on warpdust) and i dont remember if he ever spared with the primarchs. When kharn says you aint fighting at full power (and same goes for him) and its at the wery least a draw you know a character is tough, but im somewhat tired of seeing Imperial fists and their successors geting the short straw quite often, and pretty much being sacrificed to make other chapters ''look'' better. But what character will it take to make all those different chapters follow him? No way it can be calgar since he is sitting happy on his planet. And i dont think that a chapter that rearly leaves its system should get the lead. Hope its going to be Dante or Grimnar, or if Nathan wants to be extra nice,,, Vorn Hagan of the Fists, Cause there is no way id follow any ''son'' of Matt Ward!
No. Black Templars should be 5th sub faction. It would be far more appealing to butcher the faithful of the Corpse Emperor.
Perhaps, although Lucius would likely have given him a run for his money for that title. I entirely agree with your point that the IF get the short straw to make others look better. As a Black Legion player, I feel your pain - and Ulthwe fans will likely agree and make grimacing expressions in the general direction of the Thief Ravens... It's unlikely that we'll get an IF or IF successor lead, mainly because the leader will be confirmed prior to the vote, and there's no logical reason why the Fists would be leading when they may not even be present*. Dante would make a likely choice, as he's already established at having the respect of the other chapters - the Salamanders and Ultramarines have already asked him to lead join-ventures in the past. Arguably the same could be said of Calgar, and it's probably just bias that I'd rather not have a lead smurf as the prime enemy. Of course, I was quite keen on not having Abaddon leading Chaos but...well, we are where we are. Guess I'll see you at Calgar's inauguration ceremony. *Yes, this statement is heresy of the first order. I recognise my failing and will be sure to repeat it at the first available opportunity.
Soooo,,,, i dont usualy do this,,, but you dont happen to have acces to some nasty warp stuff that can take out a tough target like a smurf chapter master now would you,,, you know,,, just in case
Ahh, so *that* is what it takes to bring a loyalist to the embrace of Chaos. Duly noted. I'm sure something...suitable...could be arranged. Should it come to that.
