Hello fallow crusaders. I do not know if you ever heard of a game called "mount and blade warband" but I have spent a couple of years now playing that game and the reason is its atmost active community. the game has a thing called regiments and though regiments organize battles with each other, which keeps the community always active and pumping(each regiment has about 100 people and all of them are playing everyday more or less also most of them are very active on the forums) so my idea is encouraging individual clans or chapters ore something like that, doing so will truly make the game last much longer. trualy yours Gorlomor
Well, we already have 1,300 members on the forum after only a few days. I have a feeling that because of the almost undying love many fans have of 40k, we will likely immortalize the game on our own.
And a company of 100 brothers fits the lore. Seems legit to encourage this. Thumbs up for your idea, althoug it will see life throught players effort most likely. Seen some encouragement from devs would be exceptionally good though.
It certainly goes a long way. The forum at least is very well done in my opinion. Can't wait to start hearing back from the devs though!
This forum literally went too huge, logged off for half an hour and got 35 alerts. Tbh this game will just be immortal, no matter how bad it'll be, 'cause everyone will just keep playing, simply because of the license.
I must have joined after the rush. But you're right about the immortality bit, players still playing SM and the first DOW years after launch is a testament to our faith... or fanaticism.
thank you for responding and giving your opinions guyz(yes Guyz not Guys coz Orkz) another point I would like to make is that in the community the (for mount and blade) the regiment leaders argue umong each other and have deep dicasions about tournaments rules and generaly anything to do with the game and the community in my opinion replating such things can add much more depth do the game and give it even harder group of fallowing
Since the developers are in love with the WH40k lore I hope to see a lot of Team Structure within the game. E.G. Chain of command, size of Squads, etc. I mean we know already that in Eternal Crusade players will be able to elect their commander e.g. Space Marine players will get to elect some person who will lead the campaign I guess with Orks it will be some kind of Waaaaghboss So I hope we will get plenty of stuff like that to be seen. Will just be hard to explain how Ultramarines and Dark Angels are working 50/50 for example in the same "Chapter". With Orks it's easier since they like to become hordes for a good Waagh, Eldar and Chaos are also bit troublesome with that... Except they would be led by a Champion of the 4 Chaos Gods (like only Abaddon is and Horus was) ANYWAY! I like the idea and I hope there will be enough Guilds / Organizations which can utilize such "Regiments"
The map surely will be split in sectors, like Planetside 2 does so I guess it would make sense to split this sections in factions as well. Let me explain; If sector 12 is under attack we Space Marines got issued with a warning for that sector, then the warcouncil decides which chapter goes to that given sector, so a commander is designed to lead such battle. He calls the brothers and there you go. Did I explained myself right? second hand english is a pain sometimes
Kinda remembers me also how Armored Core Verdict Day works (a PS3 / X-Box 360 game) I hope it would work like that, would be quite interesting. Though I think even people which do not work with the rest of the chapter that close (casual players) will just jump in as additional force and add to the battle (kinda like Dust 514 does, PS3 exclusive). Most interesting will be if we get roles of "Operators" e.g. people that do not interact in the actual battle but can mark areas for example with "Heavy Weapons" or create waypoints and other kind of warnings to the rest of the team (also a feature used in Armored Core Verdict Day). And Captain / Commander bonuses were neat too, would give an extra boost why you should charge along the leader, though there should be huge minus points once the leader loses / dies as the morale would fall greatly (perhaps even faction dependent) E.G. if a Waaaghboss dies the orks are all scattered and want to run away. But if the leader of Space Marines die, then Space Marines rather fight even better and harder to avenge their fallen battle-brother. ps: your english is pretty good so don't worry!
