I'm starting to hear the choirs of Chaos, the honeyed promises of the Dark Gods resonate in the suffering of others and myself... what is this madness!? I hoped it wouldn't happen, but I'm starting to take interest in Chaos... it must be the inner bad guy in me knocking at the back of my mind. I used to collect and play Chaos Space Marines... I guess once tainted by Chaos, always tainted by Chaos... Am I bad person?

Depends who you ask. To me you aren't bad. I'm mainly Eldar but Chaos are cool too. But while I shun the Dark Gods if I were to pick one I'd likely go with Slaanesh. That makes things um complicated. Oh wait, Dark Eldar are a thing.
I have to admit, I didn't think my resolve on the choice to be an Eldar player would break. I love Eldar because they're pretty damn epic and they aren't the poster boy space marines, but I'm worried that I won't get to play them how I'd like to. To me it sounds like the Eldar in this game will move faster than the other factions but won't hit as hard in melee and depend more on tricks than grit. I'm in love with the Warlocks as well as the Dark Reapers and Fire Dragons Aspects but that's about it really. I dunno, I thought I was set on being Eldar but Chaos Space Marines are pulling me down.
For the most part yeah there are factors in Eldar that make them like "glass cannons" which means they're not as tough but do still hit as hard if not harder while being more agile mobile because space elves. Also Dark Reapers & Fire Dragons (Striking Scorpions too) do wear heavy armor for what that's worth. There will also be side-grade weapons, modifications for those weapons, character accessories, and class skill trees to specialize your character's capabilities enabling you to forge yourself in the flames of war. We'll have to see how these things turn out for the asymmetric factions.
