I dont even have enough energy left to be angry after an afternoon of frustrating one sided beatings. Klaw has a sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow fast attack that actually does not damage. If this is the speed its going to be, slower than marine and chaos versions for an arbitrary reason even though they work exactly like the other in the tabletop I will just give up. Thats it for me. I am not going to sit around while the ork faction is handed sub standard garbage. GW already did that on the tabletop, and as a result nobody actually plays them anymore. The melee moves are slow, buggy, and lose to every class of weapon in a clash even knives vs klaws or electric choppas. The actual movement is a bunny hop. Marines travel 2x as far, making escape harder. Marine weapons ALSO swing twice as fast. Bravo copying the tabletop to a tee. Too bad it translates into what we have now. One sided fights. Our weapons are still the most inaccurate. The damage they do in no way makes up for the sub standard performance. Waaaagh! is busted, MORE often than not triggering in the last 40 seconds, even after all available match time has been reached. Speaking of which.... how is a faster run speed an advantage when you lose the downed state? Oh instant spawn-well mabye I would have liked to have been rezed in that nice healing grenade. Nope we get no option. Hope you like your 12 seconds less on the rez, your going to need it to run back to the point. Our vehicles are sluggish, buggy flimsy things that overstear hilariously costing you valuable time or accidentally hitting allies. Our d bash does not work correctly. In the miracle it actually connects, the stun timer is LESS than it takes YOU to recover from your own kick. This game should have just launched with the 3 other races. There is no excuse for this level of completion. Unpolished. Unfair balance. Blame bandai all you want, but you let a bunch of fans down. Orks are literally worst in every category except looks. I would be ashamed to pretend this is ready for the public en masse.
I've been pointing out the same things in another thread: swing animations are way too fast. On the other hand orks melee animations seem less reliable, considerably slower, and stun recovery is slower than it is for other factions. Then I strongly believe some melee weapons deal too much damage. When I carry the chain choppa my strong attack basically instakills a LSM.
You can one shot most people with the basic slugga boy loadout by strong attacking gits in the back. Just normal choppa can take out people in 1-2 hits with no mods. It's nuts strong attack spam is the way to play melee right now.
Well the voice filter they used on top of the voice actor is garbage but ya. All the points above. I won't even touch Orkz and haven't for a long time. You can't make huge accuracy loss a penalty for one faction in a game where there's server delays and crap. Just slightly less damage per bullet but more of them and bigger ammo clips. Done. Also not being able to use your warcry to "waaaaagh!" is beyond dumb. Orkz are the bastard child of this game. They need to not be.
The problem is even when it works correctly, its literally twice as long as a normal marine swing for the same effect, fast or strong.
Just lost a multiple consecutive rounds to Orks playing as Chaos. Orks are much better now, despite the klaw not being fixed yet.
Yeah I've posted in another thread that strong attack should be made differently or rather reverted to the prior state with a bit longer charge-up and adequate range (Orks need and increase in that regard). It's exactly like you said, spam strong attacks to win. Don't know if anyone tried playing with an ork club... OMG it's ridiculously cheesy, the first strong attack literally dooms the enemy. No matter if they strong attack, fast attack, block with shield or stand still, the club strong attack stuns them and then you just repeat the ultra fast strong attack to finish them. Devs don't force us to cheese our way to victory. Strong attacks already do 2x damage, give them a windup time.
