im i the only one that hates the vehicles and everything they do? in fucking tire of having to stay on the goddam METALBOX wile having a hole goon squad with melta and fist chasing me in their metal box, in tire of not being able to go fast cuz the roads are too small or have so much shit on then that you have to back up then go foward, in tire OF THE GODDAM firedragons on mi ass insta killing me truuk, in tire of having to chase down the enemy vehicle just for the the other guy get of his one and we both are so sick of each other that we just ignore one another and just kill our vehicles, in tire that the only vehicle thats fun to drive in its the pansys lawnmower of doon this just makes me want to quit the game again now i just dont bother to play on medusa or torias refinere also i kinda dont like the supremacy stile maps since it feels to arcady i just wish there was more hold the line maps and ones were ther are no vehicles were the goal its a good old conquest map OG battlefront 2 stile in mi perfect world i would have made an tecmarine class that just build a teleporter and a turret. in sorry if this sounds like a temper tantrum but i just want to know if i im alone here and if there are any one that feels the way i do about the vehicles and the pain and suffering it brings me p.s sorry for bad english this is not my first language
No one really likes the vehicles in the game and they know it. The next map has close to no focus on vehicles because of this =D
Vehicles were something they could label as AWESOME! Allthough they weren't. Rhinos n stuff are quite cool, but the Battle Tanks are not. Vehicle customization (Twin Linked Lascannon Predator eg.) would be awesome but well, those 2 dudes working on the game right now ain't gonna be able to bring it out in time i guess. Unless "time" means the next 10 years for you
People always talk about roadkills as if they were a big deal, they don't really matter. However, the fact that Eldar Vehicles are fun and pleasant to drive, now that is a major selling point. I generally agree tho. There seems to be a fraction of the population that often says they want 'more' vehicle-combat. The only explanation I have for that is that none of them ever actually engaged in vehicle-combat. I simply think every, single point in the game should have a corresponding spawn for the attacker. This one should be far away, far enough for even the contested defender-spawn to be closer, but not unreasonably far. Vehicles may still be used by both sides to get their reinforcements closer but are no longer a hard requirement to attack at all. On a related note about spawns, I really don't like how the Defender-spawn is almost always directly on the objective. It makes dying completely irrelevant. This is one of the things Promethium actually handled slightly better.
Vehicular combat would be a nice addition but the main gun has to change from a 2cm flak gun to an actual 90mm main gun. It does so little against any enemy armor unless you shoot the enemy armor from the rear. If it made considerable damage from the front with lower RPM, making it a better main gun (still maintaining Anti Infantry potential while giving it more Anti Tank potential) and merging both the gunner and driver seat, I wouldn't step outside from the tank and it would actually make sense to requisition a tank in the first palce since there isn't a whole lot of reasons to pull a tank other than noobs using them for taxi.
Tanks in this game are mobile pillboxes,you drive somewhere park up and start shooting till you explode.If they was to go full arcade and merge the main gun and driver positions you would see alot more effective tanks.A fully manned tank is pretty effective but you wont see it often and it takes 5 players off of more important things like capping and holding.Something which map design does not let tanks assist with in the slightest.
i say fuck it go full arcade supremacy already feels supper arcade since it doesn't make sense that the attackers have to maintain 2 or more point to fill a fucking bar that some how makes then win wen its full, also it makes me sad that in fortress assault after the defender defend successfully they don't have to retake what they lost and sally out of the fortress to kill all the attackers while they try to scape, also just having a driver be a driver it was a horrible design since it assume you have a friend that wants to be trap as a turret and the thing is that using the tank main gun its not fun it doesn't send people in aoe flying or something like that to justify having to be trap as a turret in the good old battlefront 2 wen you play with the csi tank the driver cant control the main gun but has control over side ones then a second person would get in and use the main gun this gun was really strong and could kill like 10 or so if they were close, here you can maybe kill one or 2 in a grup of 5 and the rest of then are just gonna melt or fist your ass
