  1. Arthor nodded to Jenkins and followed the group as they entered the airport for the most part letting the more soldiery types do their jobs. He stayed silent even when the molerats appeared and flipped the switch on his arm and stayed behind everyone else. They seemed to be doing a good enough job keeping the rodents away so he looked around still staying behind they one firing. The newest member who asked him a question before the rats arrived. @PorOborosCain "Arthor or Stone is fine, we need to find any bits of useful looking scrap metal, copper wire, and duct tape. Sawcheck seems to know how to fix it but if needed I could fit it too, I could fix anything mechanical really." One of the rats seemed to get past the others and lunged at him, startled he punched it with his armored hand slamming the creature against the wall. "But I guess we really should clear this place out before we can really get to 'prospecting' I think the wastlanders call it."

Pool couldn't help but chuckled to himself at Jace's comments, he wasn't droll, not in the slightest. Just things that try to kill him usually puts him in a less than cheerful mood. As well as being out in the middle of nowhere, least the Power Armour kept him cool.

"Glad you're seeing sense again." Pool grabbed a grenade and prepared it looking for a group of Molerats but held back till he knew where the rest of Delta were.

"Scavenging is scavenging no matter what they call it." Spoke Pool as he tried to see if there were many Rats left or if most have died as well as where Delta is positioned.

Seeing the sad cyberdog, Old Augie couldn't help but recognize that look and sound.
"I'm lost too pup. Been lost for years until I found Henry. If you want, you can be with us and we'll all be lost together. Augie, Henry and Bark."
Augie said without a hint of comprehension. Unaware how odd it sounded to others. Would explain why his only friend appeared imaginary.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance Bark and Martin. And thank you for the advice. Already have a destination in mind." Augie said with a smile.
"If it's that Vertibird you're after, then I can get you there. Just a hope, skip, and a walk through the Back Ally. On the condition that Henry and I can carry off as much salvage as we can carry when we get there. I don't have a lot in the ways of food, water, or caps. But for what I lack in those, I make up for in ammo and weapons. Word is the Slavers in the old Airfield were cleared out last night. The gangs are too busy fighting over it to pay much mind to the likes of scavengers. At least for now. So what do you say? Henry and I would feel safer with a few friendlies watching our six and you would meet up with yours in no time."
[Augie proposes to lead Bark and Martin to the Airfield.]
    [A. Alright. Lead the way.]
[B. No thanks. We'll find our own way.]
[C. Not with you, Crazy. Get lost mutant scum.]
[D. Give us time to think about it.]
  4. "WALK?" Bark's translator lit up upon hearing the magic word. It seemed like the mopey dog suddenly became jovial and happy in an instant."WALK" the translator piped up again, Bark now yipping happily and patting at the ground anxiously in response to a future walk. Bark liked walks a lot, and if said walk can lead him to his lost squad members then even better. Not that Bark couldn't appreciate a walk for the mere activity of it alone. Bark began barking as per his namesake and began hopping around the two people, really anxious to be getting to his walk already.
  5. @TuskatheDaemonKilla --- before the molerats
"Noted, acting Leader. I'll leave the scrounging in garbage for rusted metal to you. If we're fortunate, I'll be able to find some new samples of wasteland mutants. I've heard rumors of different species of Mirelurks on the east coast. They would even say some glowed. Truly fascinating."
Gordon said, just as the giant Mutated mole rats attacked.

After the last rodent was either dead or driven off.
"That sure was exhilarating! These look fairly common, but they might have chewed on something useful. I hope it's nuclear material." Gordon says more to himself than anyone else.

[Gordon loots the dead mole rats]

After gathering up his spoils, Gordon turned triumphant to the rest of Delta Squad.
    @dx144 @Keidivh @Jorimel
"Well since we're going to take all day about it, why don't we split up and search the place while we exterminate? As we've seen, these mole mutants pose little real threat to us. I'd say two-three member teams would cover twice as much ground. This is a big place after all."
Gordon proposed. They were right of course. As much as Gordon wished to give into impulses, his more logical mind knew the less time they spent searching for parts or killing mole rats the better their chance of survival.
"The sooner we leave this place, the better we'll be. Let's get moving! As for the cooked mole rat, I'll pass. Give me iguana on a stick with some salt and spices any day. Just like pa used to make."

The O'Hare Slaver base was broken down into three sections. Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
Terminal 2 was to the north, half caved in with a crashed airplane, and used as a look out due to it's elevated position. It lead up to the roof, but appears locked from the outside.
Terminal 1 was to the west, it appeared to be rigged with gates and where more fighting was obvious. Probably serving as the primary slave holding area. By the ammount of blood, many had died during the fighting. Like the slavers, no bodies could be seen... intact.
Terminal 3 looked like a permanent and more comfortable housing area. Lighly guarded and with storage lockers for spare ammo and weapons. Now it was empty and showed signs of looting.
The luggage area door were blocked off from the inside, probably from the collapsed luggage conveyer belt... or something else?

[accessible areas to explore; Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Unlockable areas: Ground Control Tower and Checked Luggage area]

The comms come to life, signaling loudly for Delta Squad attention.
"This is Jenkins. Over. I want a situation rep and your position in the terminal. Sawcheck is getting ancy out here in the open. He's threatening to take off with his half repairs."
The Voice of Pilot Sawcheck bursts over the comms.
"There's nothing wrong with my repairs! My bird only needs to make it back in one piece, she ain't gotta look pretty while she does."
The sound of Sergeant Jenkins cocking is rifle is heard next. Showing that the Sergeant wasn't having any more of Sawcheck's sass.
"And I told you, you can't fly that Vertibird with only one engine! If you were attack on the way back you'd be captured or worse. Until the rest of my squad returns, you're staying put. That smoke is the perfect signal to attract some attention. Hopefully that inlcudes Bark's."
"Or something more dangerous." Sawcheck said darkly, but relenting to the Sergeant's Orders.

    [After reporting in to Jenkins]

    [Choose A or B]
[A: Explore the Slave Holding Area]
[B: Explore the Slaver Living Area]

OOC: either way takes you through the rest of the airport. No need to split up. JUST VOTE!

Meanwhile, Back with B4RK and Martin...
With Bark in full support of a Walk, Martin was compelled to agree to Augie's terms.
"That's most excellent friends. Henry and I will get you back to your unit in no time. Calm down Cyberpup, we've gotta keep our voices down. The Back Alley is a bit of a missleading name..."
Augie wasn't kidding. "The Back Alley" as it turned out was a ruined sky scrapper skeleton that had fallen long before today. Unlike the newer buildings to collapse from the fighting, the back alley was mostly intact and had become a tunnel from one end to the other.
Light shown through broken windows, but their were signs of reinforcements placed on the sides and choke points.
"This is the place! It's a guarded trade route. Forcer Clan's provided protection for those who pay the toll.... oh my lord. What has happened?"
As the group approached, it became clear that something was wrong. Dead bodies of both leather clad mercs and their loyal hounds were visible at the Entrance of the Skrapper tunnel. Gun shots could be heard echoing from deeper inside. Who had ever attacked wasn't done and was fighting their way through The Back Alley. Only slowed by the Forcer Guards.
Augie looked very frightened, but had raised his laser pistol at the ready. Gulping loudly, he prepared himself for anything.
"I swear, I had no idea this would happen! Henry and I were here only a few days ago and everything seemed fine. Why would the Grapplers Attack now?"
Inside, a large number of raiders could be seen wearing a mix of grey and green. They were armed with automatic pistols and nets. All appeared to have long straps wrapped around them or dangling about them in some fashion or another. The Grey Raiders wore more spikes and were shooting to kill. While the Green Raiders were using their nets to ensare and only shot to provide cover.
"Not the most organized raid I've ever seen." Augie commented next to Martin. "They must be the Spiders and the Steeplejacks. They're supposed to be rivals, they'd never work together. What's going on here Henry? Should we run? I think we should run. "
[Group B has three options: (A) wait for an opening and sneak past the raiders. (B) attack the Raiders and aid the Forcers. (C) retreat and look for another way through.]

OOC: I'll be playing for Martin and Hester until such times as it's deemed unnecessary.

With the area seemingly secured Pool withdrew his Grenade leaving it accessible if needed but for the most part hidden.

"That's a negative Fley, we need to stick together in this place now. Hostiles are within the area, even if they're little rats they can still overwhelm smaller groups. Remember this isn't our primary objective, we need to learn the fate of Gamma, for all we know they're MIA, KIA or AWOL. Till we can find out, I refuse to return to the Tower."

Pool heard the radios speak up with the situation outside. Fly boys gloat but when it comes to the shit they only want to run back to a high place to hide rather than stick it out.

"First area is secured, nothing really found. Recommend advancing into the place where the muties here made their home, there is more likely to be supplies there for both the squad and Sawcheck. Also if I may speak freely Sarge, I'll shoot that bird down myself if it leaves us behind."

Pool turned to Delta who were with him, "So let's get a move on into the Slaver Living area, we need to do a quick sweep of the area. Reduce securing supplies to a minimum unless it is something vital to our mission or Sawcheck's repairs. If you start slowing the team down I'll have to drag you with us or I'll personally leave you to rot. Now let's move out."
  9. [HOSTILES IDENTIFIED: ENGAGING COMBAT PROTOCOLS] Bark's speaker on the translator shouted out as the Cyberdog began snarling and ran toward the nearest Raider in his sight. Clearly the man wasn't soon expecting to see an amalgamation of dog and machine run toward him today. And he certainly wasn't expecting his throat to be under siege by a snapping metal jawed cyberdog. And yet there he was, having both events happen simultaneously, the Raider barely had time to react before Bark laid waste to his jugular. But Bark wasn't done yet, there were far more hostiles in the area. [THE FURY OF AMERICA RAINS DOWN UPON OUR ENEMIES].

Bark snarled, gnashed his teeth, and barked out angry sonic barks toward his remaining foes, charging towards the closest targets he could get to. Bark would continue doing so until he neutralized all enemies of peace, justice, freedom, democracy, and the new America. [OUR ENEMIES HAVE CHOSEN TO RAISE ARMS AGAINST AMERICA] [THEY HAVE CHOSEN DEATH] [AND IT IS OUR DUTY TO BRING A SWIFT END TO THEM ALL].
