Officer Franks shots hit the buggy and one of the raiders. She screams loudy before falling from her perch atop the buggy. The other raiders hanging from the windows cease firing to take cover. Now they shot with only there arms out the window. Only looking out to aim or shout insults. "Here little birdies! Come down to play with us!" [-1 buggy raider] Nurse Lee was less successful. Hitting the armored front of the buggy, otherwise causing the driver to duck low to avoid any ricochet. This made the buggy to swerve for a moment before correcting back quickly. [raider accuracy lowered] With the added strength behind his throw, Engineer Arthor missed the buggy by merely a second timer dely. The landmine exploded just behind the buggy, damaging the back wheels and filling those raiders in the back seat with shrapnel. There screams echoed between the confined space, before suddenly going silent with a second explosion. Specialist Fley's cryo grenade hit it's target. The buggy slowed dramatically and the two raiders in the backseat died from their injuries. Leaving only the driver, now forced to start firing his own pipe pistol. [-2 buggy raiders +bonuse for combination attack for Stone and Fley]
Field Engineer Martin chose wisely and entered the tower not being fired upon by the Vertibird. His luck componded, as most of the Scrapper ruin appeared empty. Save for the continual sound of rocket fire from above. After reaching the top floor, Martin was met with two raiders. Both were looking out the window, away from the entrace. One fired the rocket while the other held a pair of binoculars and a radio in the other. They spoke; "Shit. There goes Rick. We better get out of here." The rocketeer said. "No, still no word from the Boss. We keep them trapped." the one with binoculars said. Next speaking into the radio, "What's your status Tred?" The radio said "Everyone else is dead. This isn't like the last time. I'm pulling out!" They argued next. The two raiders in the room and the voice on the radio. They were completely unaware of potential dangers inside the scarpper. [Martin has the element of surprise +damage effect] At the same time, Bark the cyberdog returned from the inner workings of his programed brain. Finding an uneasy peace with Officer Conners. However, the moment Bark's became aware of the current attack on Delta Squad, Jenkins knew it was too late. "Stay B4RK! Stay!" The Sergeant yelled as he wrestled with his safety straps. But he was too late, Bark was out the vertibird door and falling towards the ground with all the confidence of an olympic diver going for the gold. His parameters not registering the dangers of falling from a moving vertibird. While he was too late to grab Bark, Sergeant Jenkins fell on Arthor's legs. "Get back in your seat, Stone! That is an order! It's too late!" Arthor would reach desperatly for the heavy metal hound, gravity and Jenkins thwarting his well intentioned efforts. He would however have a rockstar view of what happened next. The effects of the Cryo Grenade had worn off, the Buggy was picking up speed but wasn't shooting at the Vertibird. Bark crashed through the scrap armor covering the buggy front. The driver's surprise left him only time drop his radio mic. In patriotic fury, Bark would end the Buggy Driver. There by causing it to crash, flip and spin out of control. Finally ending upside down, in a heap of metal and bloody bodies. Bark would walk away from the carnage, suffer minor damage and probably very confused why no one was giving him a treat for being a "good-boy". [All buggy raider eliminated - Bark is seperated from the rest of Delta Squad]
[HOSTILE TARGET: ELIMINATED] the translator barked out, though no one was near enough to hear him. "HELLO?" the translator squeaked as Bark poked his head out of the wreckage, looking to the left and right before crawling out. He looked up in the air to see the Vertibird moving away from his position. "GOOD. BOY?" the translator asked, his tail wagging as he panted happily, looking forward to the potential treat he'd be given for being a good dog and eliminating enemies of the Enclave. But the Vertibird only continued to move farther away. Still not getting what was going on, the clueless wonder dog squawked out a "TREAT?" and would only be met by the the sound of the Vertibird's blades getting fainter as it's distance from him continued to increase. "HELLO?" Bark's head tilted to the side, confused why he wasn't getting a treat. His confusion was met with a feeling of loneliness, as he only had the bloody, mangled remains of the raider's to keep him company. Bark tried jumping to try to reach the height of the flying metal box, but was thwarted by a pesky little thing called gravity. He looked downward, he was still on the ground, so he jumped again, only to come back down shortly afterward. Not exactly registering why this course of action wasn't working right away, he continued jumping in place for a little while longer before eventually giving up on trying to fly. Bark was alone, for one of the first times in the Cyberdog's life. And it was a scary feeling, who would give him treats, walks, love and attention now? Not wishing to be alone for much longer, Bark began running toward the direction of the Vertibird...only for him to lose his sense of direction partway and look about in a oblivious daze. "BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK!" the translator went off as Bark- true to his name- began barking and started unwittingly running about in random directions.
Pool sighted the last of the rocket raiders trying to what it seemed hide away, that'd not help them. The Minigun began spinning up again and where they ran to was engulfed in a hellstorm of 5mm rounds. "Think that's all of them, Sarge. Although... Did the dog just jump out the Vertibird? I thought I caught a glimpse of that but he'd not be that stupid would he?" Pool kept facing out towards the ruins in the event and hope more enemies would appear before him, quicker they're all dead the quicker America is saved from the Mutant scum.
Martin sat quietly with his back to a wall and a hand fiddling with a goggle strap to tighten its hold. Both hands going back to his shotgun he crept around to put himself at an angle that wouldn't see him torn apart by minigun fire if the heavy gun was turned directly on the windows. A trained desire to salvage the rocket launcher was the only thing keeping him from just shooting one of the munitions and blowing both raiders to kingdom come. Not to mention a spare pare of binoculars and an intact radio were always useful. Biting his lip the good sense to just open fire on the pricks wrestled with well meant greed. Forming a plan he took a deep breath before rounding through the door frame and opening fire. First shot was meant to critically wound both or maybe even kill, Martin's aim high to avoid damage to the goods down on the ground. If there were survivors he would just abandon his desire for the sake of survival and continue unloading. If only one survived and he looked wounded though then the young man would go for the gold and try to crack him one across the face with the gun.
"Haha, you know how I do Sarge! Hell yeah!" The sharpshooter exclaimed excitedly as the Raiders were turned into swiss cheese. Before he could his turn his attention on the last Raider though, Jace heard something that made his blood chill. He heard one of Bark's ridiculous propaganda slogans, and that meant only one thing. Bark was attacking the enemy. And that also meant one thing. The damn dog jumped out of the bloody Vertibird! Panicked, Jace jumped off his gun, knowing Pool would finish off the last one eagerly as he looked back to the buggy, watching it flip, crash and burn magnificently as the cyber dog plummeted into it. He held his breath for a few moments, until his sharp eyes caught sight of a distant four legged creature running about the wreckage. "Heh, good boy Bark." He muttered to himself, tossing a piece of jerky out of the vertibird, hoping the poor thing could find its way. Then he remembered who Bark was and that hope quickly died. @dx144 "Hey Pool, how's it feel to be outpatrioted by a team mascot?" Jace asked with an incredulous smile to before heading over to Jenkins. @DaKaptin "Boss, we're going back for him right? Bark's one of us, and lord knows he can't find his way back!"
While the others were speaking and worrying about the fate of B4rk, Frank only stared with unbelieving eyes at the scene that he had saw while he was shooting at the buggy that was chasing him. It was not everyday he see a cyborg german shepard leap from a flying vertibird, straight into a enemy vehicle, make it crash into an explosion, and just walk out of it like an unstoppable murder machine, all with a dumb happy look on its face. "Holy fuck..." he said more of a whispered, realizing that the very same dog had considered him to be an enemy for a long time. Frank wouldn't had a chance against him. But that was mostly outweighed by the fact they just abandoned a dog that did something suicidal to save them, stabbing a deep wound into the heart that Frank wouldn't admit. "Hey! Hey fucker!" he shouted, slamming a fist against the bulkhead near where the pilot would be. "Turn this fucking deathtrap around, we left a man behind damn it!" he shouted.
Arthor scrambled back onto this seat after Jenkins pulled him back up. Bark was alive granted he was stranded in the middle of a post apocalyptic warzone with no one to look after him but at least the little guy was alive. Whatever was looking over that dog was good at it's job but not good enough to justify leaving him out in the wastes all alone "We need to go back and get him." He said looking down at the floor of the Vertibird looking ashamed of trying to jump after him.
Well the dog actually did jump out... "Not the time Jace." Pool quickly began look back to see the wreckage of a buggy. "Request orders to retrieve the stupid dog. Even if it isn't a priority to return him he's still got Enclave tech on him worth more than the damned Vertibird, not to mention he's probably filled with files on the Enclave that if cracked would cause a world of hurt." Pool didn't know much about electronics but no doubt there'd be some files on B4rk that'd be dangerous in the wrong hands.
As Bark was running around in complete circles-completely clueless as to where to go or what to do-he saw something fall from the sky. Curious as always -and unaware of any potential dangers that could have existed-Bark ran toward the falling object as it plummeted to the floor. His nose told him it was something good, and upon getting closer to the thing he got excited as his suspicions were confirmed. It was a piece of jerky. Bark was further overjoyed as he came to the obvious conclusion as to the origin of this jerky strip. It was literally raining treats. It was like a dream come true for Bark. He snatched up the treat and began scarfing it down. Upon chewing on the jerky strip he looked directly upwards, expecting to see treats rain from the sky. But no additional treats came down, the heavens refused to open up and shower the cyber hound in delicious treats. Maybe he needed to be patient, it's not everyday it rained treats, perhaps he just had to wait. Still, no sky treats. Bark came to the explaination that he needed to give the sky a reason to give him a treat. So he rolled on his back and started rolling on the ground. Even with his efforts going unrewarded, he continued rolling on his back, the sky could be a fickle being for all he knew.
