  1. The ever curious Bark trotted up to the big box that everyone seemed to have gathered around. Maybe there was some treats, or possibly chew toys in there fo him to play with. A very optimistic thought for the Cyberdog, but a dog can dream, couldn't he? And upon getting up on his hind legs and looking into the box it seemed to him that he wasn't too far off with his train of thought. The box was filled with weird looking objects he couldn't quite identify. He's never seen these things before, might as well have been a new type of chew toy to him. Bark couldn't recall the last time he was given a chew toy, or even what happened to it. Chew toys were usually given to the good dogs, so these strange looking objects were probably here to replace his lost chew toy. He only recently started being called a good dog after all. So after sniffing the objects, Bark bit onto one of them and held it in his mouth.

Bark then started to chew on the device, only to find it rather difficult for him to do so. And unlike chew toys of the past, there was no satisfyingly pleasant noises as he tried to chew it. Treats that tasted bad, and chew toys that were hard to chew. It was a strange day for Bark so far. Good dogs certainly had the oddest treats and toys if these were any example of them. But Bark was a good dog, he'd prove it. And so-despite the obvious discomfort he was experiencing-he sat there trying to chew on the device, oblivious to its true use.

"I know, it was a real Kodak Moment," Ruby said, albeit quietly, back to Jace. "I'm sure he didn't mean me specifically, I haven't really done anything. I think he just liked my salute." She smiled a little bit, though, nonetheless. "I hope I am, though. A credit to the uniform, I mean. That's what I want to be."

The little nurse could certainly admit to being a bit nervous about the upcoming mission, but the compliment had boosted her morale. And this in turn made her more cheerful to the group. So when she spotted Bark chewing on the new armour, she didn't get too downhearted.

"Come on, you silly hound," she said, affectionately, "that's not for chewing. You'll hurt your teeth. Anyhow, it's walk time." She tried to gently disengage the piece from Bark's teeth and get a hand on his collar, to lead him to the waiting Vertibird.
  3. Arthor adjusted the armored pieces over his recon armor and placed the silencer over the barrel of his shotgun. Bark was already chewing on his stealth boy and Pool seemed contempt to kill half the wasteland. At least things seemed to be normal before they're sent on a suicide mission that would be fit for a much better squad. He took his seat in the vertibird and fiddled around with his pipboy trying to mask his obvious nervousness but his shaking hands betrayed him. He was a technician and robotics enthusiast not a soldier he fixed robots and power armor from the safety of the tower not be dropped from the sky into the wasteland to hunt down possible traitors. He put a hand to his face and looked to the ground. By god why was he being sent out again?

Once Jenkins was finished signing for the gear, and whether Nurse Lee managed to pry the Sealthboy from Bark's metal jaw, the Sergeant motioned for Delta to follow him onto the Vertibird. Taking one of the armor pirces and Stealthboys for himself.
"Everyone on board! We're shipping off! Radios and straps on. Double time Delta!" Jenkins said enthusiastically. The cealing heavy shutter gate was almost fully opened. Pilot Sawcheck was the last on board. Last minute prep finishing as his front canin door slammed shut.
"Alright lads and ladies, is everyone comfy? Good! It's time to take off. I'll have you there in one piece, lickidy split. Be sure to teach those suppy thieves a harsh lesson. No one gets away with stealing from America's Enclave." Grant Sawcheck said.

Once Delta Squad was airborn, it was easy enough to see the fighting. Power armored soldiers were raining hot blasma down upon building ruins and vehicles. Once or twice one such crude locomotive came storming down the road with a mounted mini gun and scrap armor. Such big targets were easy for the well trianed Enclave soliders to rip apart. From the ruins, rockets and sniper fire was all that kept the Enclave from pushing beyond their fortifications.
Sawcheck Over the Radio: "See that. No matter how much we blast those buildings to rubble, more of those rats seem to pop out. You'd think they'd run out of salavaged rockets or cars. We've got the skies dominated. But to be safe, if two of you want to mount up on the miniguns be my guest. Make some swiss cheese out of those damn raiders.
[Two may fire the miniguns in case of enemy fire. No enemies are with in range... yet]

Pool didn't need to be asked twice and jumped onto a Minigun then proceeded to check it was loaded and ready.

"Now this is how to kill Muties." Pool said with a grin behind his helmet.

Jace shrugged as he got up and hopped on the second minigun. Figured a nice way to pass the time would be to mow down some Raiders. He scanned the immediate area carefully, his shaded eyes looking for anything psychotic and drugged out.

Ruby strapped herself in and looked out of the window as they took off. She loved flying. It was so exhilarating to be in the air! Proof of what Science was capable of, when paired with brilliant minds and the will to succeed.

As the vertibird flew over the combat zone, she automatically began to look out for casualties, readying her medikit in case it should be needed.
  8. Frank stayed buckled in his seat at the two took up gunnery duty, never having formal training with any heavy weapons in peace keeper training. Hell, this was his first combat mission, or flying in one of the Vertibirds. Period. He knew being in Delta would be a lot different than just policing civilians, but the sounds of gunfire down below, the roar of the propellers, and other noises brought that fact to reality. It made him all the more glad he was able to snag the riot shield he had after Drumph forced the reassignment a couple of days ago. "They don't go anything that can take this thing down, right?" he asked the rest of Delta, referring to their bird. With them being soldiers and having fought the savages just the other day, they would have more knowledge on the matter.

Jace scratched at the back of his head for a moment as he tried to think if they did have something to take down a Vertibird. "Huh, I don't know. Think they had a missile launcher at their last place. Pool, did they have a missile launcher? I think they had a missile launcher... Frank they might have missile launchers."

A smirk formed on his face as he had some fun with Frank on his first mission, another great way to pass the time!

Pool took his eyes off the outside for a little to address both Jace and Frank.

"Well to be honest you don't need a missile launcher to bring down one of these, pump enough bullets into them and they fly like shit or if you hit a vital part of it they are downed, but I think they do have some kind of rocket weapon. Be thankful you've got someone like me on the gun making sure none of them even lift their arms."

As Jace seemed to be toying with Frank, Pool was just being serious about the matter without much if any consideration for the anxiety Frank might be feeling being in a tin can.
