    Pool watched Jace throwing what he assumed was dummy but he'd been wrong before.

    "I seriously hope that was a dummy grenade. I don't want to have another earache of how throwing grenades around the Tower is bad for our health. I'm amazed B4rk didn't rip out the pin when he went for it and make the barracks into a bloody mess."

    Hester speaking up grabbed Pool's attention. "Same to you Hester, get ready to stand guard for the next few hours."

    Pool noticed that Arthur was still fooling around with his Pip-Boy, Arthur was a recent member of Delta Squad and it dawned on Pool he could now be consider a five year veteran of Delta Squad. He should have a cake or better yet a promotion for being here that long or at the least some action outside of this tomb.
  2. Bark got the attention of at least two of the humans in the room he was in. One of which didn't seem too happy with him. He wasn't sure what the man was saying, and as a result the only response the man got was a blank stare. Bark's head tilting the side as he looked at him in confusion. He heard the word run, but then he heard the word play. The rest of what he said was lost to him.

    But the second man however really got his attention. This one scratched under his chin which really made him happy as he happily panted at the man. Then he said fetch. Bark knew what fetch was. It was one of the few words that were able to be successfully programmed for him to recognize. Perhaps it was because Bark loved to play fetch before becoming the cybernetic canine he is.

    He happily barked, which the translator was able to pick up as "FETCH!" And with that the emaglamation of dog and machine ran after the object that was thrown past him. He paused beforehand and did a double take from the man to the direction he was throwing too, but even Bark's brain was able to catch up and ran toward the direction of the thrown object, and nearly running through yet more people in an attempt to get the thing.

    He looked around for a bit, as if trying to look for the object that was now right in front of him before his eyes finally transfixed on the object and he bent his head down to clench in his mouth. And now came the part that Bark was infamously bad at. Bringing the thing back. And so he sat there, looked around for a bit, not quite processing what to do just yet. Deciding on laying down and biting on the thing in his mouth.

    Carl Jenkins wore his less worn Enclave comba armor, with his rank engraved on the shoulder and helmet. M203 Assault rifle clean and rebuilt resting against his locker. An M9 holsters on a built in armor compartment under his arm. Helmet on, hiding his strawberry blonde hair.
    Retreived the dummy grenade from Bark with a quick "Drop it", not foolish enough to stick his hand in the metal jawed K9, and threw it back to Southwind. Keeping his hand up to deter Bark from jumping to take it back. "What have I said about teaching the Cyberized Defensive Unit self destructive habits? What if he try's to catch them during live fire? B4RK's a valued member of this Squad and... Necessary for operations." He said after some thought. Truth be told Bark was all but useless, but he was a Good Dog and a loyal comrade. Despite himself sometimes. Petting his jar encased head before scratching his ears. "Good boy Bark."
    After breaking up the horseplay, Jenkins looked around the barracks before speaking. Only Medical squad member Ruby Lee @Jorimel had yet to arrive. Which meant the CO was probably still at the meeting. See as how they were going to hear about it anyways, Sargent Jenkins spoke next in a hushed tone.
    "Rumor around the Tower is, they're having a big meeting in Congress today. Stuff about DC, the Lost Outposts, and even a rumor about sightings of Brotherhood. Most of this is just gossip, but nonetheless all Squads have been called to assemble in their barracks. Some have already moved out. As for where the Peacekeepers are, I saw most of them were gathered outside of congress, guarding the Chambers when I spoke with the CO. He sounded like he was in a good mood. Better than I've seen him in a long time. That's all I know, but I'm all but positive that our orders will include more than Guard duty. So stop being modest and break open the live fire rounds! Orders say we're to be fully geared and fully equipped. Let's not disappoint the CO now. As you were." Jenkins finished with before unlocking the delta squad ammo depot, a large metal locker covered in dust and locks. Password, key and even a Retinal scanner to boot.
    Inside they would find ammo of farious calibers, grenades, energy cells and other items unusually denied them. This was indeed a very odd occurrence and made the Sergeants words all the more believable.

    OOC: something to keep the dialogue going. Once we hear from Ruby I'll post mission#1.

    South just gave a goofy, innocent smile as he caught the grenade, happy that his reflexes were improving again. "Aw come on boss man, we were only playing, I doubt Bark is dumb enough to..." His voice trailed off when he recalled that Bark had chased after live grenades before. Multiple times. "Er, yeah, sorry boss."

    What his sergeant said next completely floored him, they were to be fully armed. Live weapons. Live GRENADES! Either Delta had been performing well, or Congress was desperate... Probably the latter one. That didn't stop him from gearing up though. He began grabbing MF cells, loading one into his rifle, and putting a good amount onto his bandolier. He also grabbed a couple frag grenades, and even managed to find a few throwing knives! Confiscated from him when he was assigned to Delta! To finish off the look, South grabbed his authority glasses and put them on. He then began some small calibrations on his scope, ensuring it would be accurate. His preparations finished, he turned to his squad mates. "Alright you gotta admit, I look pretty badass!" He then struck a heroic pose, putting up a leg on his bunk while he held his rifle.

    "Live ammo! Oh Sarge you know exactly what I wanted and it isn't my birthday."

    Pool moved over to the locker grabbing a couple of frag grenades and filled up on magazines of 5.56mm rounds and grabbed the other pieces that were authorised with such equipment as Stimpaks.

    "So Sarge, I take it this isn't just guard detail today. I've not been told in a long time to take a loaded rifle and grenades to stand guard."

    Pool heard Jace and saw him with those glasses on.

    "Nah if you were in a suit of X-01 I'd agree you'd look like a badass. Those glasses just look like you're trying to be a badass. X-01 armour just has it radiate off you, I do wish I had mine back now. Think it was put into storage given to one of the other squads in 2277."
  6. "NO" the translator squealed as he barked at the intruding man, "MINE"

    Bark whined a bit when the man took the thing out of his mouth. He didn't even know what it was but he felt like it was his. The man then pet him...somewhere. He couldn't feel where. But when he felt a scratch behind his ears that jovial mood of his returned. He really liked getting patted. Especially when he was able to feel it. Those were the good ones, and they were just great. And hearing the man say "Good boy" elicited a bark and a happy wag of his tail.

    @dx144

    One of the men pulled out something that looked like the thing that was taken away from him. In actuality, it just looked like another roundish thing similar to it, he couldn't really tell from afar. So Bark went for it and barked at the man

    "MINE!" was what the translator was able to pick up as he yelped.

    "Damn it Jace, see what you've done! I'm gonna have this mutt trying to eat my frags the entire time we're out."

    Turning to B4rk, Pool tried to calm B4rk down before he charged Pool down and took a live frag from him.

    Putting the frags back down in the locker, Pool held out his hands to keep B4rk away from frags and getting everyone killed.

    "Little help before we all die guys?"

    Jace knew he should feel bad, but he couldn't but laugh at seeing Bark jumping up to try and take away a REAL grenade from Pool. So he reached into his pack and pulled out a piece of jerky, and began waving it at the Cyberdog.

    @GobMaw_HellSmasha
    "C'mon buddy! Wanna treat?" He braced himself for the worst.
  9. @Keidivh

    Being distracted by the word "treat" Bark looked around wildly to try to look at the man who spoke the word. He turned away from the man with the thing and brought his attention toward the other.

    "TREAT?" The synthesized machine translator shuttered as he barked and wagged his tail at the man. He rushed over too him, brushing past all in his path as he nearly knocked down the man he ran toward.

    "TREAT? TREAT? TREAT?" he yelped and woofed. Bark liked treats, Bark liked treats a lot. He started to lick the man's face, while awaiting his treat, his tail wagging faster in anticipation.

    Pool didn't do much other than grunt and go back to gathering his gear but quickly pocketed the grenades just to avoid further exciting of B4rk.

    As Pool saw B4rk distracted his mind was wondering where Ruby had gone off to. If the CO arrived before she did then all the squad would suffer. Well if Delta was an average squad they would but with this being Delta the CO would probably just assume this is what Delta squad is.
