- Splash burna was sold for CASH in the rogue trader pre launch as the ork equivalent to plasma gun.... No update on that in nearly a year - kombi shootas for orks sold for CASH in the rogue trader pre launch ...... No update on that in nearly a year - Singing spears for Eldar sold for CASH from rogue trader pre launch .... There's been a update recently with a model and saying it's coming in the future. -Looted 'umie bolter *and some other relics* ... No updates on them since pre launch and they are still missing from the game. - Cosmetics from the pioneer pack and shop pre rogue trader taken down.... There's been a update for the living armor for chaos but as far as I've seen that's the only update on that front. The splash burna and kombi shoota was sold and confirmed for the game.... They are KEY weapons for the orks.... They are not in game for god knows why... Instead we're getting grav guns for LSM which wasn't even planned..... Starting to feel like as a founder they don't give 2 shits about my concerns as they don't give updates they don't talk about if they are being worked on at all..... The complete lack of communication is what's frustrating people so much I think. Every week on twitch they answer the SAME questions over and over and over and completely ignore questions that are targeted at things missing. When january hits if none of my key points are in game I'm giving a negative review.... It's really hard to refrain from doing so just for the fact that the devs are so flippant with the community.
Well... Splash burna is a problem right now since is somewhat like a flamethrower. But the combi shoota and looted humie bolter is something that Im also waiting since day 1 of the orks. Lets hope that the next month the give some love to the orks and the founder stuff.
I am feeling you. I am constantly being ignored when posting / opening threads on the forums. My questions for the Twitch stream, as well as the ones I ask in chat are also ignored. It is frustrating, because I want to support this game. But I also want to make sure that the Devs know about stuff that I think is important (counts for everybody else, too). But without feedback, this is not a thing. There are so many people that keep asking questions that have been asked for weeks. They always get answered. They could just check threads on the forums to get their answers. But the uncomfortable questions are not being dealed with...
I'm not a founder but I'd be very upset if I had paid money for something that was expected to be in at launch and wasn't and then was never addressed. A simple "we're working on founder items and expect to add them in by x date" would be a good start. Bugs and balance fixes seem to be the priority right now so adding in items very few people will even have access to is understandably a low priority but alienating some of the most loyal players is never going to work out well in the long run either.
The splash burna was to be the plasma gun equivalent for shootas it's not a flame thrower it was described as shooting blobs of super heated burna fuel that stick to the target and burn them. It's not like a burna as much as the bio rifle from unreal tournament. The splash burna and kombi shoota are 2 completely different classes of weapons. Ork plasma gun equivalent and a shoota that has a 2nd fire mode of a different weapon such as a rokkit. These would make HUGE impacts on gameplay for the orks. The spair keys kombi weapon was sold in the rogue trader pre launch as was the splash burna they were both marketed as variations of a base weapon type that we hadn't even seen yet. The LSM getting grav weapons which were not announced or planned as far as I know just sends me over the edge... Anyway I asked nathan some and he said he'll try to check in and give a update for twitch next week if he remembers. If all else fails he can maybe post it here.
It annoys me when they answer stupid questions that have already been answered tons of times or are just plain stupid. Some of us have actual questions that are pretty legitimate and shouldn't be too difficult to answer. My question this week that failed to get answered was; what are the changes to the WAAAGGGHHH!! mechanic going to look like, will the insta-death part of it be removed? It'd be nice to have different people's questions answered, I always hear the same names and it feels like an exclusive club.
Sad times for you guys, it does suck. Hopefully they get to them sooner rather than later. I can't imagine Spears hitting soon though, I know that on the TT they hold it with one hand a lot, but I feel like it would need to be a 2H weapon and we know that isn't coming anytime soon.
Here's what annoys me the 2 weapon types that were sold would make a very big impact on how orks play... And they would be easy to do. The plasma gun equivalent could shoot little globs that have very very small aoe and could be charged to make a big glob that splashes out a bunch of little globs *think bio rifle from unreal tournament* and the splash burna version from the cash shop could just have slightly lower damage with a heat debuff on the shots. Kombi weapons could easily be done with the alt fire mode have the standard shoota then if you use the fire mode key instead of switching to burst fire it switches to the rokkit and has like 3-5 ammo. It wouldn't be hard it would allow weapons they announced and even sold in the shop to be added and be functional. Instead we don't even get updates if they are even coming. @Dreadspectre They may end up waiting for a 2 handed thing but they would at least be giving a update on that unlike a lot of the other stuff. I just want our other weapon types as ork that were sold mainly the plasma gun equivalent for shootas and the kombi weapons.
They could take the Tempest Launcher mechanics and apply it to the Splash Burna, but with Plasma Cannon projectiles instead of Tempest Launcher ones.
It would need to be a plasma gun equivalent not cannon. The splash burna was ment for the shootas. I wanna see it function like a bio rifle in UT View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbeqJlUBZ70 That video is a guide but it shows how it functions. For the splash burna just make it have a bit of heat damage on each shot at a increased loadout cost kinda like abbadons grace. Anyway see what I mean the standard shot will stick to the target or surface for a second then detonate doing small damage. It's not aoe for standard shots just the charged shot and it's not aoe in a normal way instead the big glob hits detonates and throws out a bunch of little shots and they can hit targets near by if the rng is good for the shoota. *edit* Forgot to mention it would have 2 fire modes just like the lsm/csm plasma guns but the auto mode would function like the bio rifle from UE 4 and be inaccurate as hell while throwing globs everywhere.
