I'm down with an Ork mob for lore, flavour and just anti-SM reasons Keep in mind, if I'm not reading to much into it, that Miguel said F2Waaagh! players can unlock the hierarchy but didn't specify restrictions that might entail. Maybe they'll only get to own 1 class at a time or it will take an ungodly amount of play to unlock all the substantial racial goodies (like a year). It could be the case where the entire class hierarchy has some inbuilt limits in terms of skill trees or certain gear.
1 character slot as well probably, if we recall the Warrior Pack picture it mentions 4 character slots if i recall well. So progressing for a F2P Ork will take ages if hes trying to advance multiple paths on a single character. EDIT: Yeah 4 char slots for the Warrior Pack:
It's a great idea, because think about it - without something like this you're not going to keep people playing the game as an Ork Boy for very long, and you won't get cycling players forever, a long term F2P playerbase who are able to maintain goals will make the game healthier in the long run. They need to compensate paying players though, otherwise it's really unfair on people paying to play who view the Orks as their main faction.
What i thought is that there may be some other guys who might complain about this choice , by saying things like "that's not fair, the orkz sucks, we don't want to use them, why the other races aren't free, i want to play the cool guys who fight in the space, i don't care about this green humans" problem is, all these "noobs" who don't give a fuck about the lore, could be the greatest part of the buyers....
The game's trial element has been limited to Orks and it planned to stay the same irrelevant of this change. They complained on this end before, and nothing came (or will come) of it. Orks are the only F2P race for now and the F2P crowd would be wise to accept a bone when its thrown its way imo, not bite the hand that gave them the said bone.
unlocking=huge amount of farm, so it's basically "buy the game for unlock all instead of farming for 2 year", but still some people will play causally the game and increase the player pool (that is really important for a game we need people to shoot at!!!)
