Emperor save you all, here comes the Krieg. Name: Alrick Gottzmann, ID Number 7 Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 28 Rank: Grenadier (Krieg Stormtrooper) Appearance: Standing at 6’4, clad in a dark grey trench coat and fearsome gas mask, Alrick is truly an intimidating sight on the battlefield. On the rare occasion one see’s the Krieger without his gas mask on they would see a man with thick dark brown hair, and blood red eyes, a gift from his irradiated homeworld. He also has a gruff beard that he occasionally bothers to keep groomed. Running across the right side of his face is a grizzly scar, a memento to the last time he fought amongst his brothers. History: Alrick’s history was much like the history of any other Krieger. He was born in hell, raised to be a nameless soldier who was destined to die on some nameless world in some nameless war for the glory of the God Emperor. And he took to it with vigor. Alrick spent his childhood digging trenches in the irradiated hell hole that was his home, drilling near ceaselessly, and fighting mock battles that usually ended with far more casualties than one would expect from a training exercise. Upon completing basic training, and having been in the 48% to survive it, Alrick was enlisted into the newly formed 66th Line Korps. An accomplished marksman and vicious trench fighter, Alrick would go on to prove himself in many battles across the Imperium of man, holding the line with unflinching as only a Krieger could. Eventually it was noticed that despite the many wars he had been in Alrick had not yet been blessed with the redemption of death. To remedy this he was enlisted into the Grenadiers. Alrick took to the position eagerly, knowing that only two of every ten Grenadiers survive an engagement. It seemed atonement may have finally been at hand. But for poor Alrick he continued to live, the Emperor’s peace always appearing to be just out of reach. It wasn’t until the Orphean War that Alrick nearly found the atonement he so desperately sought. Reports had streamed in that over half of the Orpheus sector was lost in a mere 10 days, and in a desperate attempt to halt the strange metal xenos the 66th, along with the 60th and 17th Line Korps were deployed on the capital world of Amarah Prime to hold the last line. And hold they did, being the first force to drive back the lifeless machines. Alrick distinguished himself in the fierce urban/trench warfare, his squadron driving back the metal men time and time again. Of course driving the creatures back was not enough, and the Krieg were determined to turn the tide. Alrick and his unit were deployed at the fore front of the counter attack, driving through the xeno in a furious assault, eliminating them with sheer force of will and weight of bodies. By the end of it, nearly the entirety of the 66th had found atonement, and the xenos were broken. But amidst the survivors was only one Grenadier, Alrick, a talisman bearing the symbol of the Xenos hanging around his neck. The Grenadier would not be returned to the ranks of his kin, instead there was need for bodies elsewhere, and Alrick wasn’t one to deny the call to duty. Soon he found himself amongst the Ad-Hawk Kodiaks. But no matter where he was, the Krieger would hold the creed of his people close to his heart. “In life, War. In death, Peace. In life, Shame. In death, Atonement.” War-gear: Carapace Armor Lucius-pattern Type XIV "Hot-Shot" Lasgun OR Melta Gun Krieg gas-mask Trench spade Combat knife/Bayonet Las-pistol Comm-bead Equipment pack Frag/krak grenades Maynarkh Dynasty Talisman Tarot deck
None. He is that regular guardsman who inevitably gets thrown at the enemy in some suicidal attack... he just happens to be lucky enough to survive them. Hence how he managed to survive for two years in a Valhallan regiment. So I guess I'll just go put "guardsman" as his role for that's what he is. A guy with an autogun, a habit of surviving everything thrown his way and plenty of Lho-Sticks.
Well we've got someone with nigh-infinite lho-sticks and a guy with almost infinite hard liquor so i think many days of debauchry may occur
I look forward to our two Cadians meeting. swapping stories of all the fucked up things chaos did to their world and holding the line while them men ran.
One question I do have. Two really. First, where is this discord chat in case I have some thing to resolve and second, are guarfsmen permitted to own civillian or non-munitorium equipment? civilian clothing, blankets, micro-cogitators with video games, that sort of thing? I've read that lots of regiments that essentially have camp followers that can provide guardsmen with the nice (er) things in life (beer, good food, whores etc.) but I'm not sure how the commissariat feels about these people. The largest imperial navy ships for example are so big and so old that they have their own languages and cultures complete with their own little hive cities and slave populations. The crew periodically jettisons these people onto planets when they become bothersome. Now I imagine an ork warband getting seceral thousand mutants dumped on them. That would probably be quite the suprise.
