Forgot to add, Alice is wearing carapace armor and has frag and krak grenades. Could I just say she was a staff officer during her las assignment and is now being pressed into frontline status? And would 5 years in the guard make her a veteran or just a lucky guardsmen?
Lucky you did not specify that you wanted to be a vet and then I would have to tweak your gear. Then put you into Special Troops and taking the Option for a commissar off the table.
Krieg don't have Commissars, they have their own internal version known as Quartermasters. They're probably one of the most zealous and loyal Imperial Guard Regiments of Renown in existence. Also, if they did happen to have a Commissar attached to them and they executed that person, it would be followed up by an Commissariat investigation. Only other Commissars are allowed to execute another Commissar and that is only after facing a tribunal. You can arrest them sure but due to wartime regulations, executing them is punishable by death by firing squad regardless of the circumstances unless a decree was made by regional Commissariat Command. This has been a lore message from the local Commissariat representative. Remember, heresy grows from idleness and suffer not the xenos to live!
They do have Commissars though, its required by Departmento Munitorum regulations its just that Commissars there have to actually reign in Kriegers and remind them of broader goals that their bodies are needed later on and not to charge in for a short term victory and waste the resources. Quartermasters serve as battlefield medics/ material salvagers.

I remember reading but I am on the standing point that the Commissar for the Krieg could have a different name. Like they are called Quartermaster.
