A krieger could be the Colonel and a Catachan could be a Major or Lord General. While on the ground a Squat and an Ogyrn are fighting side by side in the same squad. Then on Artillery a Kadian and a Mordian Iron Guard are targeting an enemy. These are all examples.

I'd be interested in this. Besides space marines and orks, imperial guard are da best boyz evah. Character Sheet: Starcaller Name: Alice Croshaw Gender: Female Age: 19 Appearance: Small and skinny at barely five feet tall and with pale, cream colored skin and neck length straight black hair. She has blue eyes and wears a smile unless she's getting shot at. She's found that as a young woman she looks weaker than she actually is and she enjoys either exploiting that advantage when her enemies underestimate her or showing up larger and stronger men. History: Alice joined the Cadian Home Guard as a whiteshield like everyone else but was always nervous about combat. She asked her parents if she could somehow be assigned a noncombat role but they explained to her that all whiteshields had to prove themselves upon the battlefield in order to reach adulthood and reassured her that they had taught her everything she needed to know about being a guardsmen and her sergeants would take care of the rest. This was enough to bolster Alice's faith in herself and she joined up without further complaint. Initially things went well for her. She was able to make friends and showed enough interest in communications technology until one annoyed vox caster sat her down one day and showed her how it all worked, if only to stop her from asking so many questions. On her fourteenth birthday the first sightings of the 13th Black Crusade hit Cadia and mere weeks later the planet was hit by Abbadon's hordes in full force. Alice was either asleep or terrified during those very dark days but proved herself more than worthy to be in The Emperor's service. As her unit moved from kasr to kasr helping with evacuations they kept losing men and Alice kept taking on more responsibility. She had shown a particular knack for coordinating vox traffic and after several acts of both personal bravery and critical force redeployment she found herself as a new staff officer in the Cadian 8th, The Lord Castellin's Own. By the time Abbadon's advance was halted and imperial void control restored Alice had been decorated twice for valor and earned her rank as both a true Guardsman and a Cadian adult. She even got to go home for her fifteenth birthday to the absolute euphoria of her parents and the camaraderie of her new friends in her unit. Now, four years later, Alice has been reassigned to a new unit but she stands ready, knowing that whatever she will face it couldn't possibly be any worse than what she's already seen.
