Oh I assure, everyone here cares alot about Eternal Crusade. ESPECIALLY the Eldar community, since we're usually so passionate about our love for the space-elves.
I like the Eldar for many reasons, but all of them fluff related as I have never collected a tabletop army. For starters I fell totally and utterly in love with the 40k style of psychic powers, which naturally drew me to the Eldar. But I just love their style, how they are always hidden and mysterious and (supposedly) always pulling the puppet strings. The idea that everything is an ambush tactic, a trick and a plot all the while being just some small shard in the overall mosaic of the true grand design. Fighting the Eldar is like striking smoke in the mist. Of course if you do manage to catch the smoke then it folds quicker than a deck chair in a hurricane. But that's also part of the fun. I like the fluidity of it all, even their most stalwart bastions are ships that Eldar can't find themselves sometimes. Constantly moving and changing in possibly the single most damned mission of survival since Leonidas took three hundred lads and said "Thermopylae, that seems like a nice place to spend the week, what's the worst that could happen?"
Hehe no worries Actually I quite like this community ^^ I can see a lot of mature players here, which makes me happy, that this can be an amazing game in the end :3 That... and I love to talk about lore and whatnot As the saying goes, the devil is in the details And so far this thread and some others were quite interesting, bringing up valid questions and some solid answers :3
Spirit animal, I love eating drinking and grand adventures. The honour of melee combat sings to me and the pack lifestyle mirrors my own. I just can't explain it.... Oh the epic beard thing also helps. I feel like I was born in the wrong lifetime, like I should have been alive when vikings roamed the shores of europe and abroad. >8D=
Don't let your delusions overcome you. Mr. Assange and Mr. Snowden could whisper you a word about modern day adventures. Also, you can try yourself as a member of a polar expedition. Or serve in the Foreign Legion (assuming you're not French).
Sweer :3 Another viking fan ^^ Got to love 'em actually :3 And I'm a big fan of wolves and jackals and canines in general ^^ Got to love the Norse mythology and their gods are just awesome And aye, the pack lifestyle also calls for me also ^^ And I always loved to be a part of something I think you will find a lot of people who share this sentiment and thinking you have I'm 100% sure about it :3 The Wolves attract a lot of people that love the vikings or their way of life in general
Im Choosing eldar because they were the first 40k army i liked. Tau came out and it was all over for my eldar though. I also like the idea of us all being the underdog with like half the members of the other groups, but, when Tau, arrives, I will jump ship so fast its not even funny!
