If Your Sticking To Eldar,

  1. Can you post some pics of your army? and or some Biography to go with it. What is the story you have built around your army. the battles you have seen and averted* in your head. What is your canon so to speak.
  2. Lethanuul is an Exodite world, named after the founding family that gave the most in its cost, it was founded by a multitude of families from multiple maiden words and the craftworld Biel-Tan during the Exodus. During the beginning of the final quarter of their journey She Who Thirsts was born. Having no other choice due to supply shortages the entire Exodite fleet landed on an old planet's surface as the first day turned to dusk they were assaulted by warp tainted creatures. the fighting was costly for every bearkarn slain three Exodites were slain the fighting lasted months until, unknown to all, three troupes emerged from an old and unused webway gate. The Lethanuul held with two of the troupes while the weary eldar were taken into the webway by the third. The entirety of the battle had taken more than one-half of a standard Terran year. The webway was draining on the Exodites for they did not have the protection of the Laughing god, however, as fate would have it a fourth Troupe brought forth Isha's Tears, the first soulstones. Rhaqash Lethanuul mounted the soulstones in his armor as well as the armor of his warriors, the people looking to him for guidance could not last in the webway forever and so, with Harlequin support, Rhaqash led his exodites into claiming a new world, but by the end Rhaqash was not fated to live nor any of his family.

Lethanuul's system of planets is held by many clans, the capital planet being Shelwe Lethanuul (meaning "Song of Lethanuul" for their famous bonesingers)

    Major Clans

Lethanuul: though the entire line lies dead none are more worthy and willing to roam the world again and protect their people than the Wraithguard, Wraithblades, and Warithlords with the burning heart of the Lethanuul inside them. the wraith are painted with ashen chests and blood red heads.

Ceilfuldannan: "You can hear without listening and look without seeing, but they--they listen without hearing and they see without looking" of all the might Lethanuul bears it takes very few militant actions without first consulting this clan of renowned seers. Ceilfuldannan colors are a bone breastplate with any cloaks being colored black, with gold and leadbelcher ornaments.

Seach'ra: This clan makes up for the bulk of Lethanuul's current population and although every living clan has shrines and training grounds reserved for aspect shrines Seach'ra has the highest population of artisans and farmers, most of which have some military experience, but very few aspect warriors bearing their colors. being descendants of Biel-Tan they retain their traditional colors.

Areshkia: The fourth major clan is the third largest clan of Lethanuul, however the numbers are skewed as many of these Eldar are always embarking on the never ending Bahzhakhain learning the path of the warrior in the most important temple of the aspect warrior, battle. Areshkia's clan is also descended from Biel-Tan however rather than keep the colors of those they sought to leave they adopted new colors of light blue armor, gold ornaments, and the banshees wear a red mask with white hair as to further embody their aspect

Harlequins: due to their heavy involvement in the taming of Lethanuul, its borders are wide open to recruitment for the harlequins and many exodites train for the opportunity to be judged in their once a decade tournament performed for the harlequins.

I hope this answers your question

  3. thanks for the backstory, I couldnt imagine having a tabletop army without its own colored history.
  4. You are most welcome! as for my tabletop army most people, at first glance, think I bought pre-painted models from ebay.....it is a very colorful army

I think that.. the main reason why I like the Eldar and why I stick up for them (most of my friends are all Xeno-hating, Farseer-slapping, Eldar-shooting Space Marines) is their will to fight. I don't know if you have watched the DOWII: Retribution Eldar Trailer but in that video, three lines stood out.

Remember the past - They use what happened to their ancestors during the Fall as a reason to redeem themselves, I guess.
Alter the present - They blatantly CHANGE fate itself to suit their needs. What would motivate ANYONE to move fate just to see their race survive?
Fight for the future- They are willing to give bone and limb to see a world universe where their predecessors can live in peace.

A race that just looks Death in the face is just meh. A race that openly gives Death the middle finger is a race worth being a fan of. :D

My cousin played Biel-Tan Eldar and that was the first time I was introduced to 40k. So it's kind of stuck with me since then. Gotta love them space elves.

Its nice to see such loyalty to a faction its to bad its so rarely seen amongst the Tau tho there are some undyingly loyal like me and few others on this forum

I rather like the Tau, myself.
I think they need A) some kind of sex appeal somewhere and B) the Imperial Loyalists need to factor less into how the Tau are depicted -even in rumors.
The Stalinist Nazi Church fanatics don't like the Hindu Space Communists. Imagine that. Dear GW; RE: the Tau; extract cranial structure from rectal sheathing and cease slanting codex Tau information by the propaganda of it's mortal enemies.

That's stupid. Stupidity is a choice, not a permanent state.

Also Crisis Suits are now piloted by mortally wounded Fire Caste? Does every faction have to have a Dreadnaught analog?
    See above.

  9. Eldar are just a fun faction in my eyes and a good race, there are so few of them and its a fight to keep the race alive.
