Ahhh, I'm dying of laughter, this is too good. I was hoping for a semi-serious take on this, but I enjoy the humor all the same. Imagine, a grand arena, capable of holding tens of millions of chaos worshipers, daemons, Chaos Astartes, and more, watching a battle of champions, each heralding their patron, willingly or not, all to shouts of "No, Kharn is better because...!" "No, Lucius is better because...!" I have the feeling that the champions would tear into the crowd rather than fight themselves at that point, and who said this was to the death, or that death would be permanent? Have some imagination my compatriots of madness.

Kharn is anything but dumb. He's often the voice of reason within the world eaters legion. Read Betrayer. Now, he is prone to fits of madness and to attack his own allies. This is because of the Butcher's Nails. Doesn't mean he's an idiot, it just means that he loses himself in battle.
