They'd need to lay out a month by month plan of what they were going to do with the money and specifically what they were going to deliver. Then maybe.
They received my 40 dollars for buying their game while it was in Early Access. That's more than enough from me, considering that Early Access is not actually for games in Alpha or Beta testing. What I've seen from the devs recently has not convinced me that they have any intent of delivering features that had previously been promised for years, and some of those features are ones I considered make-or-break for buying Eternal Crusade. If I had waited for launch before buying the game, I would not own EC now, as features were cut in between my buying decision and launch which would've resulted in me deciding not to buy the game. If a refund for the game itself were offered again in the future, I would probably take them up on that offer. So, no I would not give them any more money on merely the promise of cool stuff, since they've already been very, very long on promise and very, very short on delivery.
If the devs want any cent more from me they'll first have to show the product, i'm not buying any more promises from them again.
I am a sucker for cosmetics. If this weeks patch adds some cool ones then ill gladly buy the ones I like. I will also throw money at them when they release new playable heroes/elites/factions. However I would not simply give them money on the premise of a "kickstarter". Things they actually put in the game I will pay for. Things they say are coming later down the line I won't.
Well I got like 127k in req after I bought some orks hats. And since hats of other factions are kinda lacking... dunno. So I ques in order to make me pay for something on top of that they really need to pump content.
I gave hundreds of euros, which were not used for what they were intended. I think it will go that way. They give us what was planned already.
Conditional answer. Yes I would throw money at them... but in return for some shinies. More themed aesthetic RTP items.
