If they did a few paid expansions I would probably buy them. Unfortunately I think they went the wrong route with the RTP thing only especially with how over costed they have put some of the stuff at. No way in hell would I gift money to them without a return. They are a business.
I am loving where this thread is going, but if people could expand on the specifics of what they believe is missing that would be much more helpful than "This thing is missing". Be specific, y'all know they read this stuff... I mean... if you have been here as long as I have in any case (SET ME FREE!)
Boy, there were dozens of threads with 'what's missing', you don't know it yet, look at the iconograph.
If they ever get it to the MMOFPS stage I might be willing to do a Planetside 2-style monthly sub. As it is I have Masters rank points with very little to show for it atm.
Context is important. Everyone sees something missing, its what the cool kids do these days. The difference is "What keeps you from thinking this deserves more funding?". All in the context of "This game released too early." But I respect your position on the subject.
If we talk about spending cash for decorations for my character then I could pay for it. But only if I will find game having more to offer then simple lobby shooter experience. If they will implement campaigns with persistent world and add some more visual customisation I will surelly buy some. If they want more cash from me then I am also expecting items prices drop. It is too much. But if you are talking about other kind of financial support my answer is - no. lost my trust when they was cheating about release date. Also we heard that game is already founded and I suppose this was for game that didn`t move so many features to post launch. This makes me asking myself if they can spend cash without waste. Yes, game gave me much fun. 500+ hours now. But looking at what we have and trying to be more objective about it I think it is not worth a cash they want for it. By "objective" I mean trying to look at it like no wh40k fan. It is barebone... I would even say it is offensive for customers to sell something that limited and unfinished. So - no ready product no a single buck from me. I think that by supporting any developers for promises is cousing precedents. As community of players we are moving line of tolerance for incopetence. And in future it will affect us all in a bad way.
Errrghhh, I hate repeating myself but ok: real player driven campaign with fully interactive map, fully fleshed out elites\heroes\veterans, any attempt of at least a quasi open world - these are core features that are missing, once I see them FULLY fleshed out and working perfectly I might think about coming back providing this happens within a year, not longer (which is very unlikely ofc).
Got my return on investment from the Alpha hours alone, but no; wouldn't drop more money on it atm. It'll be a while (and a lot of progress) before I think about putting anything else down. The ONLY exclusion would be if a solid roadmap were presented and it was both ambitious and achievable. Seriously, would invest tomorrow but the 3yr record is not confidence inspiring. That's something I know that @Djemo-SRB and others have championed since 2013. Faith dictating your spending is a fucking terrible idea. Do you want Scientology ? Cause this is how we get Scientology.
I voted not sure. It depends on two things: 1) why do they need more of my money? 2) Is there a detailed business plan on how to get there? The devs spent a lot of time squeezing things into the Sep 23 update, and while there is still a lot to polish, they should be able to focus almost entirely on this new feature they want to implement without deviating to other issues. If I feel it's worth it, why not? But if those two questions can't be answered, I would say no immediately.
