If Necrons Are Included, How Would They Work?

I wasn't really thinking the timing thing through, but I just thought, given how hard they would be to kill in the first place, it shouldn't be something that's used frequently. Although a % chance to get up with 1/2 health works just as well.

Necrons are not 'evul', I wouldn't call them like that. They just have no flavor, and taste like water now. Just some bunch of metal whiners, whose power does not apply to what they are now. Tasteless, illogical mess.
Thank you, Matt Ward, with this you have despoiled many greatest victories of the Eldar.

    NPC faction like the Tyranids.

Possible expansion as a player faction down the road, but I personally like them as a universal enemy.
  4. Slow and deadly! So the enemy know their doom is approaching and can cry about it in the manufactorum!

Of course NPCs, because that's the only way to represent their scary atmosphere, their abilities and their might! Balance makes Necrons a good race from the point of competing them, but not so good to make it playable in a MMO.

Giving plenty of time to pick them off from afar :)

There needs to be something else besides Nids for the PvE aspect of the game. As much as I love Necrons and would like to slowly.............................. get to the battlefield....die.....spawn.... and slowly get there again and spend most of my time getting there (they aren't that slow ;)).

I feel the game will need something else instead of constantly fighting Nids for pve and if not necrons then ummm I don't know Dark Eldar? Tau? ....hmm Dark Eldar raiding parties actually sounds cool for a pve element.

Necron dungeons sound pretty sweet though.
After a huge fight with necrons and just barely surviving just to watch them all get up again....O_O Nope!

They could likely be a separate NPC faction to give us more variety in PVE, or they could the a second tier of enemy.

An example being (Emperor forbid) a Horde mode where you bunker down in the same spot for some odd waves, after a certain thresh-hold of tyrannids, you begin to face the higher damaging necrons.

This could be swapped around of course, on some maps we could face "easier" necrons and as we progress we begin to see "harder" tyrannids.

That's my way of explaining it, but I'd prefer to not be crammed into another Horde mode... It was fine when introduces in Gears 2 and less so in ODST, but I'm tired of it.

Why does there have to be another PvE element? The game is primarily a PvP game, the nids are mostly just there as balance, if one faction is overpopulated. The game is focused on a giant player war, so nids should be more than enough PvE.
Also, you guys are once again reverting to "Necrons should be NPCs because they should be" or "Matt Ward is stupid" as arguments. Please try to ACTUALLY defend your point.

It has been confirmed that PvE will have a large role in the game. Dungeons will very much be a thing along with loot drops and all that fun stuff. Just let people brainstorm and have fun, no need to turn this thread into a debate
