We can't have an endless battle over one area or mission, there can be infinite battles over said area or mission but at some point one team has to win and one team has to lose for there to be any sort of fun. Will the area in question be blocked off to people who have died already in the battle? Or will there basically be infinite respawns maybe with a longer respawn timer after each death?
I have no idea, HOPE they take a hint from PS1. after you DO take a base there is a set amount of time were that base is safe. And as far as re spawns go I say just force them to spawn in the far back, like the next base over
Thre are abotu 50 threads on this topic. To sum up my own oppinions: NO mobile spawns (EG: sunder from PS) NO spawn points inside of bases (EG: Spawn tubes from PS) When you die, you have to wait for your squad to die and/or retreat you can't deploy individually if you are part of a squad/strikeforce, you need to deploy with your squad That's a brief summary of things I've outlined before. Spawns just lead to a meatgrinder scenario, where nothing matters but die and rushing back into the fight.
Just dropping a suggestion given in a few previous threads by a couple of people : Drop pods. You queue for them and wait for more people until you reach a certain number (probably as a big as a squad of marines) and then drop to a combat location. They cost a bit of requisition.
the odd thing is, the imperium don't believe in cloning and clones are treated as second class citizens. so for space marines, that's out... maybe the fluff will be, every new life you play is some kid who got your previous life's gene seed implanted in him
