having a pestilence aura for nurgle would be awesome, basicly something that drains your energy or what counts as mana over time but it hurts all that are not chaos and heals all that are
AH to be chosen by the mighty god KHORNE one would fight for a millennia to earn such blessings from him but if you devote yourself in his name the ultimate physical prowahs be bestowed upon you. Being able to walk with chaos fire under your feet would be nice and been able to punch a rhino and whatch it expload just from your fist would be most satisfying! CHOOSE ME KHORNE TO BE A DEMON PRINCE SO THAT I MAY SERVE THE WORLD EATERS ETERNALLY IN COMBAT!
Now you know what would be really cool is if after a certain number of campaigns that you distinguish yourself (part of the best squad, best commander, most kills) you could be sent into the warp to your favored god's domain and have to do a certain number of tasks and get an extremely powerful blessed armor/weapon/artifact from your god. But the downside is that if you fail one task, or get killed you lose the chance to get a reward from your god. Imagine getting a Power Scythe that's been dipped in Nurgle's filth and the damage it could do!
I don't know if anyone said this , but it just came to mind. Have 4-5 ranks of chaos devotion over 5 catagories (4 gods 1 undivided). Have it so that each rank gives you one spacial skill in the favor of that god. As you rank up to 4 (giving you 4 skills) have all the other one you have get a little better if they are of the same god. Have the 5th rank give something exclusive powerful (risky perhaps). Ex: Khorne rank 1 bloodlust = 15% bonus damage When you rank up in inn favor of Khorne you get a new skill plus bloodlust rank 2 = 17% damage bonus + 2% armour carry on for all gods and ranks. If you go undivided make the it so that you have to get favor a rank of favor from each god. While you still get the skill it will not improve because you only have one rank in that god. As for the favor of te other gods you will need to aquire a rank 2 amount if you have rank one already so it is not any easier being undivided. Ex: rank 1 exp - 100 rank 2 exp 500 etc feel free to let me know what you think or if I am just in dreaming too much.
In meele combat different Gods should give different bonuses: All Nurgle warriors have a bad smell around them. This smell should decrease the resistances of a target as some "Filth aura". Could be many different auras, like healing aura, or slowing aura. And each aura should have several levels of skill. Slowing at the first levels - paralizing and disrupting armor at the last levels. All Slaanesh warriors LOVE pain. Pain should give them bonuses, like increased attack and movement speed. More pain = More Bonuses. Also they like to give pain too. It means the strongest (or the most long-lasting) DoT skills in the game. All Tzeench warriors have magical skills. It would be awesome, that in meele combat they have an ability to drain health from their enemies, and drain their knowledge with powerfull debuff skills. Blind them, disorientate them. All Khorne warriors like BLOOD (and skulls). They should give group bonuses and gain personal bonuses for all damage and killings, made by his group. More blood they spill - more bonuses he got.
Followers of Khorne: A Stacking buff, the more you kill, the higher your damage and crit rates get until you're killed. The counter, if there is nothing left to kill, you either find something to kill or get a winded debuff that weakens your character. Followers of Slaanesh: The more damage you take, the faster you attack from the excitement and pleasure received, essentially a maddened haste. Followers of Nurlge: Explode on death, causing massive AoE damage to foes and temporarily buff any allies with a buff that causes some kind of dot based damage. Followers of Tzeentch: Getting hit by spells reveals secrets of the caster, which allow you to get a stacking resistance to spell damage and give a stacking crit damage bonus on the next spelled used, consumes the buff. These might be a bit overpowered but it's not a hard stat buff and some of them promote team play more, like having someone who actually heals, actively healing those that are in the fray.
More blood for the blood gawd but I'm torn from being a tzencth sorcerer or a Khorne chaos lord with a power claw
People keep forgetting we followers of chaos undivided =( do we not get a blessing but get something else instead?, do we get a combined blessing from all the gods? Perhaps undivided instead of getting a specific bonus get something more like a combined blessed such as a very small amount of everything the others get (so say Khorne gets 10% damage undivided get 2%) As for the others I'll throw out a few ideas as well so there's more choices, Khorne: Instead of focusing on the damage could focus on the magic resistance of Khorne making them take less damage from spells. Nurgle: Infect the enemy with a disease which can either lower their attack/speed/resistance OR perhaps make it so when they die a swarm of nurglings erupts from their body. Slaanesh: Lowers the aim of people attacking them as they seduce them making them not want to kill them. Tzeentch: Chance to dodge attacks (or a % of the attack so its not to OP against very powerful hits) as they can see the future. Also has it been confirmed how the chaos gods will work, will we choose a god at the start or will our actions determine which god we chose? and will we get more devoted to gods over time giving us more power / look more like their champion?. I would love to start as undivided then be able to chose a god based on the actions you take which then lets you become more and more devoted to that god or of course lets you remain undivided
First of all, I would not like to see in this game any typical RPG MMO sh** like 'resistance to fire/cold/puddings/whatsoever' or any 'fire/ice/earth/etc.c' damage buffs and any bonuses based on that kind of sh**. I prefer more realistic types of interaction, SM game was good enough for me in that regard. I don't like critical strikes/shots in games as well, I mean they should be possible to happen, but that probability must not depend on any character stat line, instead that chance to make 'lucky strike' should depend on some kind of divine intervention (e.g. battle prayer, sacrifice to the gods, praise of Khaine, etc.). Next thing, I believe that any mono-chaos-god followers should not only benefit from it, but gain some downsides as well, while CSMs like Night Lords of Chaos Undivided followers should have more flexibility in loadouts , while still able to gain some useful buff from worshiping(e.g. making sacrifice before battle) Chaos, the choice should be left up to the player. Each step taken toward one's chosen Chaos patron should more and more displease other tree of them (no love for Malal ), which should leave less opportunities and choices. E.g. slaaneshi squad leader will never agree to accept khornae zerker into the squad (should not be possible by game mechanics limitation) or Architect's follower won't be able to equip power scythe possessed by daemon of Nurgle. And, finally, my view on the gifts from great chaos gods Slaanesh cults: provide access to advanced combat stimulants (which in turn must also have benefits and downsides) unlock sonic weapons skill tree attack/movement speed increase based on damage taken elite perk: temporarily increased regeneration based on death blows performed and/or damage taken Tzeentch lodges: provide access to special bolts ammo unlock armour rituals skill tree (special battle-chants to maintain and enforce armour) dodge/armour bonus based on damage mitigated (counter resets if any HP lost) elite perk: some kind of concentration bonus, which could be useful for both sorcs and havocs Nurgle crib: provide access to blight grenades and plague knifes or something like that unlock bloated physique skill tree (HP, toughness, regeneration, poison resistance, et.c.) temporary regeneration bonus based on damage taken elite perk: HP buff (I imagine its cast animation as cloud of poisonous gas/flies emitted from cancers) Khorne bloodpits: provide plain and brutal damage buff, buff increases if no ranged weapons equipped unlock cybernetic cortical implants skill tree (attack speed, strength or smth like that) damage buff based on number of skulls taken, fades if one stays out of combat for some time elite perk: % of HP restored after each kill There should be 'point of no return', i.e. after achieving all types of Chaos God's gifts one should not be able to refuse that God and become carefree renegade, as he/she/it has got that damned soul already.
