To be fair, GW has never done a good job representing Eldar on the TT then if they intended them to be lanky aliens. Their models all have pretty humanoid scaling to them. I would say EC's models match the TT iterations pretty damn closely.
I would say , respectfully, that these analogies would be non-sequiturs. My statement or the logic by which I formed(in-game experience and reading the message boards here) it made no statements implied or explicit about Chaos/Eldar/Ork players. And while I understand what you're saying with the "jocks versus nerds" statement, it inaccurately describes what it is I am saying. My in game experience playing chaos has been one of very strong teamwork(surprisingly for PUG matches), great communication, and other than that mostly just silence. Whereas my experience with LSM has been the opposite. Obviously I don't believe all LSM players are as I described(thus my caveat), but my observation informs me a sizeable number of them are. I too have been gaming since the 90's, I always thought the teabagging behavior infantile. Guess which faction has been the only one to tea bag me frequently in my 70+ hours of gameplay? LSM. Ultimately I don't really care if LSM are polite or not, they're just shuriken cannon fodder. I only mentioned something because someone else brought it up and I happen to share the belief. All I'm saying is, that's not what I said lol.
Personally, I don't like the different models for male and female aspect warriors. I say that just because I believe that the aspect armor is ceremonial or ritualized in some way, and made before the Eldar wearing it would have been called to war. So the armor being non-gendered would make more sense than having some armor having boob-plate armor, to me, at least. The way this makes me think is if they are going to have different appearances for the genders, is that male howling banshees would have no boob-plate armor, and their armor would be less feminine inspired. Which that would be going against the lore already established, where their armor isn't for personal taste, it's to represent the female spirits they take their name from in Eldar myth. I'm fine with having the Banshees be the only aspect with feminine armor, as it fits what's already established better than, say, a Striking Scorpion with said boob-plate and much thinner, more feminine armor. I'm just saying my thoughts here, and stating some observations/conclusions I've made/come to.
Well if I remember reading whatever it was I read correctly, eldar will be gender locked. From what it looks like, banshee's will be male, and dire avengers will be female, etc. Doesn't really make sense to me considering it's not accurate, it's not like the eldar actually gender lock their aspects. I just hope, if what I am saying is correct, that this will eventually be changed.
The Eldar will be able to choose their classes regardless of their chosen gender, unless they have changed something lately (I really hope they haven't). EDIT: Spelling
Well, then cu as an Ork, because that's about what's gonna happen. In fact, as has been pointed out, it has already begun. Did you think this could be prevented? Not if this game gets popular, and it's on a good way towards that. We all play Eldar because we think they are cool. "Cool" can mean a lot.
