Start shiny, end up noble and war-torn. I'd like to see additional gems for my victories and damage from my defeats. If we can get that level of customisation I would be happy.

I mean that's the thing that's going to define my satisfaction with the models. If I can make my Eldar look like I want to, to a certain extent, then whatever the base model is like is fine.

On the topic of "Teh Boobins" I expect I'll be playing as female. There's a certain psychology at play here - and I know this is a blanket statement - I've noted boys don't like being beaten by girls for some reason. Especially the type of boys that LSM as a faction tends to attract. Even if the character is female but the player isn't. Ever since I used to beat Ken players with Chun Li back on SF2 Tubo (SNES 4 Life) I play female where possible in PvP. Just another layer of tension to put on the opposition and keep them off their game.

Do we know much of the story line yet ? As to why the Eldar are Present, outside of being better and having more swag ?

Well I'm going to be playing (and owning) as an Eldar. That alone will make LSMs indignant.

I would wager this blanket statement to have a high degree of truth. LSM tend to attract those who expect to dominate and be nigh invincible simply for playing a LSM, they want easy mode. While this certainly does not pertain to all of them, I would posit the LSM attracts the interweb-bro aspiring alpha male types. I cannot wait to shatter their fragile egos and blow my death spinner load all over them.

But also lame, unimaginative, and the default "the Imperium has no idea why smelly, icky XENOS would be doing anything so clearly it can't be for any actual reason" perspective. This is also after being "richly immersed" in the three-way fustercluck of SM chapter politics.

I for one am aggressively disinterested in hearing the actions of the Eldar explained by the sing-it-loud-we're-ignorrant-and-proud Imperium. AGAIN. We've taken the effort to have some of the Eldar perspective illuminated by crap as random as an eldar woman who's never apparently met a child (lolwut) and Jain Zar shaming her Aspect Shrine a few times, so fuck accepting "fuckin' magnets man, how do they work" for an entire faction of Eternal Crusade.

You realize that makes CSM the counterpart "edgy tryhard" players, right? And the Eldar the rancid, toxic elitists? It occurs to me to wonder if this is going to become one of those games where the only community worth playing with for the company will be the Orks.

This isn't on EventHorizon or any one specific person, but folks this behavior is what makes a community go rotten.

I started playing online death matches back in (distant, unfathomable) 1999 with Doom and the original Counter-strike. I remember someone explaining how them rapidly crouching over the corpse of an enemy wasn't in fact one of their keys being stuck but that they were simulating raping that person's mouth.

I remember the derision that greeted so obviously a preposterous and impractical an idea (the OG CS community was still all "srz bizns" because it featured a recoil model and weapons that needed reloading #ShitGotReal) but the great thing about expressions of contempt and spite are that they're contagious.
