Damn it I wanna and I'm gonna snow flake! But I think a lot of the issues stem with Striking Scorpions, the fact your main combat unit the DA is as tanky as us, with enhanced speed to boot has become too much. If your DA weren't as tanky, we would have a chance to be more aware of striking scorpions, as of right now there is no threat of being caught as one when your team mates are acting as distractions. With that they get to shred our back line with insta gib attacks, then they cloak. Yes, yes, use comms and git gud... you can say that when we have voice comms. I figure a lot of issues would even out if you were to make the DA, Banshee, SH and Warlock less tanky, those classes should utliese their superior agility and hip fire accuracy to score kills, not trade bolter rounds and sword swings like the 3 other factions. As per lore reasons and the style of their gameplay and roles, SS, DR and Dragons should maintain their armor. Overall I think the most distressing thing here is the lack of empathy on the Eldar players parts, way to play the Eldar role straight guys. I think I'm going to take a break from fighting Eldar until this is settled. Thanks for letting me snow flake
Dire Avenger have 80 Toughness without their 400 LP armor and have 110 Toughness with it. That's still either 20 or 15 less than your Space Marine toughness. How much weaker do you want them?
Balance talk is just a tricky thing to bring up, and you're a brave soul for attempting to do so. WAY TO FUCKIN' GO, CHAMP. It's just annoying in general to bring in asymmetrical balance to a game, because it's tough to compare who has it harder between factions when they're specifically designed to be played differently. You want Eldar to be agile and accurate, but this realistically might not play out well in the actual game.
*heavy breathing* A slight durability nerf, as well as making hit detection would go a long way to balancing the Eldar faction.
Just an fyi plenty of sm are one shotting orks from behind with melee so I don't honestly feel too bad for you guys atm.
I've got no problem with your toughness, my issue is your armor. Having LSM armor values, you guys move far faster than us, have awesome hip fire accuracy and weapons that have well above 30 rounds a clip, which when combined allow you better staying power in a fight. Fast characters with deadly weapons shouldn't have the staying power of bruiser in a video game setting. This is why I said the DA, Banshee, SH and Warlock should take armor nerfs, where as the DR,SS and Dragon maintain their armor values. I'm not asking for a faction wide culling of armor values, just for certain classes. I think it's important each faction is unique, that's why I'm happy the Eldar have the speed and mobility, but combined with the armor, it makes them fast Space marines, that isn't a good thing.
We have to self police ourselves with this one, we need to discuss why the Eldar are just running over people, and I seriously think its a mix of speed mixed with armor durability. The fact the DA are as durable as Marines/Chaos and Orks means they can tie us up for long enough that units like the SS and Banshee can close in and one shot us.
To be fair, the problems aren't all Eldar only. While it's true the SS is the bane of my existence, most support weapons in general right now are pretty fucked. Three Shuriken Cannons on a wall is no different from three Heavy Bolters on a wall.
