For weeks, now I've heard many players post about how they wish for more racial diversity, and base stat changes especially for SM. I also hear people constantly say the devs don't listen, or care what we say etc. Then we get this patch that increased the armor of both LSM/CSM (which we've ASKED for) and also dropped ork health while reducing head shot damage further making them a tad more..unique and specialized. A great step forward, and a case of the devs working with us (Or they planned on doing it regardless of our post) either way it happened. Yet.. no mention of this, and it's stil the same old crap, more complaints and a constant unhappy player base no matter what they do. Just like I posted in that thread that got locked, BH, sadly is in a perpetual state of being screwed. No matter what they do at this point people will continue to be unhappy, even when they listen to us and that's just bullshit.
I don't think anyone asked to buff LSM in conjuction with CSM who doesn't need buffs then just retweak an odd design choice to make standards Orks tankier than marines in power armor.
Honestly, if they needed it or not it wouldn't make much sense considering they wear essentially the same armor. They will tweak and balance it out in other ways down the road, but regardless it is still a good step forward and something we've asked for. Right no one asked for CSM as well, but.. according to their stats and how the world maps looked the past weeks CSM were the 2nd worst faction next to LSM so they obviously needed improving too. The problem isn't giving them more armor, it's they haven't tweaked and fixed the AC/AG yet.
I'll try not spew a ton of venomous word vomit. A bad release generates a pissed community with little respect, trust, or patience. The fact that people are still posting in the forums whether positive, negative, criticism, etc....is a good sign that there is a community, they still care about this game, and have some hope for a future for it. I would be more concerned about silence.
Devs listening to the community? Nathan saying this is persistent world while 95% of community are laughing. Ohhh... about patch. Did they do anything with plasma cannons, meltas or veteran classes? Gave us visual customisations for legs or arms? Or anything new? After long long months my d-bash is still not working in 25% of situations. I think I am just constant unhappy player... Stick around with EC for 6 months, see how devs are "comunicating" with community and how they answer to "feedback"... You will become constant unhappy person too.
What did you want us to say? Hey guys! Good effort! Now only 999 more things you need to do before this game is good!
I never said they haven't made mistakes, or this patch is perfect. All I stated was, people kept asking for LSM/tactical buffs, especially higher armor, and they did it. Yet even when they do something RIGHT people still find a way to be unhappy. Those other problems will get flushed out eventually, it takes time. I've been apart of this community and forums since Feb. So I am very aware of how things work, disappointment and being unhappy. Follow my post and you will see a lot of unhappy issues I've had but you will also see my give compliments, and praise where it's due. Which I feel is a huge problem around here, everyone wants to dwell on the negatives how about embracing the positive as well?
