what makes you think EC needs another PvE race?

I wouldnt worry too much, if BE says necrons are on the list as playable then they will be on the possible 5th faction poll, if the poll is a "series poll" or even if its a "stand alone" from whats been seen so far necrons will at least make the 2nd highest vote count,

that alone will see their inclusion sooner rather then later, my poor DE may be stuck waiting longer

if you want more variety it should be for the PvP content not the PvE content

Yea... it really seems the Tau will win. For some reason people prefer the least Grimdark option of all.

Dark Eldar would definitely be my second vote. Haemonculi are just awesome.

Another thing I was thinking about...

Do any of the expansion factions really need subfactions? I mean even for Orks and to some extent Eldar I don't really see the necessity.
On Tau, Necrons, Dark Eldar, etc. it's not necessary at all. Maybe having no sub-factions on expansion factions would reduce the work needed to implement them.

That 15% can me expanded on though, and even within that 15% variety isn't a bad thing. It would be a welcome break from the PvP every now and then.

the whole alliance faction thing was bandied about as a way to have the IG and SoB included in EC near the start of the forums, suggestions of creating the IoM (imperium of man) super faction..

but a lot of IG/SoB fans said no, they wanted their factions to be independant as they should be, the only thing working against it is explaining conflict between those 3 factions on such a scale

small skirmishes yeah no drama,
major war between the IG, the SoB and 4 chapters of loyal marines...thats a real doozy to explain away

for the life of me I cant see DE teaming up with CWE and being happy about it in either camp,

and no-one wants to team with the orks...they smell funny

dont let the hardcore PvP'ers hear you say that...lol

they fought long and hard to have all PvE removed from EC, many of them consider a PvE'er as a coward whos wasting time "picking flowers" in caves that should be served fighting the other factions in the war.
