No, it is not possible to include the Necron as a playable race, canonically speaking there is the possibility of a large number of Necron with personality that allow them to move freely. Only serve as NPCs, their leaders may have personality but if very few. And the Outcasts would not be feasible.
you might of made a typo there, 1)you say they cant be playable, 2)that they have personality and freedom to move, 3)they can only be NPC 1 and 3 are your opinion, thats fine 2 is a reason they can be playable, not a reason why they cant
Oldcron Alert! Read some of my posts in this thread and the "Necrons as PVE" thread. I go into detail on the new lore and how it is perfectly acceptable for Necrons to be a playable faction. Not to mention that Behaviour already confirmed they will be playable.
So basically for all those nay sayers... its not a question of will necrons be playable in EC, its when will they be playable in EC

bottom line is there is no compelling reason, its a matter of personal likes and dislikes, some people like necrons, others like tau, others like something else we arnt trying to convince you that it must be necrons, we just want to explain to some people that necrons are going to be in the game eventually as a playable faction and that trying to say they should be NPC like the tyranids is wrong,

when the time comes for a 5th faction, the devs will give us options and we will vote for it by poll, as it should be and whoever wins that poll will be included as a new faction first, as it should be and there will be no hard feelings, that doesnt mean we cant present the cases for or against before that poll occurs lol
