currently playing "swordsman online (OBT)" and occasionaly "defiance", so between those 2 and this forum (which sucks up a lot of my time lol) a new game isnt high on my list
  2. omarx omarx Arkhona Vanguard

i hate to say that but nathan said when game release they will wait 1 year then release next race and it will be tau because its the most request race , also he said necrons request too but not more than tau thats why my guess they will wait 1 year after launch then release tau then release necrons and imperial guard will be NPC

Really? Man, that's good news, i was hoping for some blue skinned sweetness but didn't expect Tau to be the next faction.

    Cool.

Necrons are not good for Players to play thay maybe one of the NPC-encounters in the Future. Ther are may thing that make tham unconfortabel to play with.
    1 thay are VERY slow
2 thay don´t got real Vihicels thay got Vihicellikebodys
3 Thay hawe no own will or induvidualbeeings. Thay only ecsists to destroy all life
4 There costemasation is so les that you will hawe a gray metal clonearmy.

For an NPC-Encouter thay are total taff and may be mor dangeres tha the Tyranieds.

I dunno, they might be able to work as a playable race. Sure, they'd move very slowly (their sprint could be normal walking pace for other races), but they'd be very well armoured and be able to take a LOT of damage before dying. They could also (either as a racial passive or accessory) be able to revive once after being downed, or just be able to respawn at their last death location, so long as they don't change class.

It'd be interesting to play as them, and I only hope they don't become another NPC race, as I have a friend who really likes them, and he's already annoyed that the Tyranids are just in PvE
  7. First off I'd like to propose not everyone needs to be an independent or even full faction, mull over that to see what you think. Most people I think would be happy enough just to play as their favorite unit and why not facilitate that, with allies temporary or permanent, made by the players or the mechanics of the game (or a mix of both)

My thoughts are any of these possibilities

    1) Any smaller faction that only has 1 or 2 viable units for example, could be added to another existing roster, to attract players to that side. They could be permanent additions or temporary additions that are put where they are needed based on pop level.

    2) Like point 1, Entire Allied or additional factions could revolve to the least populate faction, or could have their own diplomacy if you wanted to leave it to the players. Better though that mechanics handle it most likely, either fully or give people more or less allied 'slots' depending on the worlds population.

    3) Alternatively keep adding independent factions, NPC and/or PC, overall they will most likely help balance the game by having multiple fronts for the more populated factions to fight on. - Plus nice source of revenue for DLC in the future, and if someone is putting all the time and effort into making the units, I don't mind paying for that DLC.

    4) Necrons would make good NPC opponents. NPC zones could alternate between necrons, tyranids or both if you are unfortunate to run into a battle between them! This will help with variety as the game ages. Nothing special needed for the setup here, sometimes the map NPC tiles go through a flip timer, can be that simple. Or rather than have 100% of the units one race, you enter the map and find both slugging it out :D

*Imperial guard, and even a rogue ork warboss would make for good NPC opponents too. So you can get the gretchin, snotlings, squigs and regular ork boyz out there fighting. For anyone unaware the orks proposed for PC's seem to be the bigger kind, there are a lot of 'fodder orks' as well.

    1) necrons arnt very slow ... they have no extra move on the TT but otherwise have the same movement rate as every other army
    2) necrons have vehicles ... just as many as any other army on the TT
    3) only canopteks/wraiths/constructs have no intelligence, warriors have limited sentience, everything above a warrior have full sentience
    4) customisation options are only limited by the imagination

it seems you dont really know much about necrons
    Aritol and Xanxas like this.

I don't see the crons as a playable faction. Probably more like the tyranids will be with PC controlled "big" creatures.
  10. In my mind I can only see Necrons looking ridiculous.
