LOL. I just noticed I wrote Dark Elves... I agree having an Imperium of Man super-faction would make most sense lore-wise. But it would completely overfilled and having different Space Marine chapters would be even harder. I mean even as it is, having several Chapters fighting together is quite a stretch. And yea, non-renegade-IG and SoB having a large scale war with all 4/5 SM chapters is pretty much impossible. But back to the necessity of sub-factions on the expansion factions, what do you think? Could you live without different Kabals in a DE faction?
I don't know. Maybe from the fact that the better part of these guys literally are AI controlled with absolutely no free will?
I suppose I could, though it would be a hard sell to the DE fans why their faction (and possibley and other later additional factions) would be given less scope for customisation then the already included factions, but yes, commorragh is basically one big city despite its subdivions within so I guess its not impossible to sell that way...similiar to the Necrons if we went with a single dynasty that would also work for the SoB, yes the orders do have slightly different looks but thats about all it is if we assume that a militant order would be the one sent

This says they CAN be a playable race. We both know that the IG fans will burn down the bE office if they don't get their own faction within six months after launch.
Commorragh is still huge and Dark Eldar have plenty of unique options for subfactions. Don't see that as a problem.
And what about the hordes of slavering Daemons, the beasts of the Dark Eldar, the Tau drones and the countless servitors of the Imperium? I don't see anyone reflexively mentioning PVE when these factions come up. They all share a common fact: The ones in charge are both numerous and individualistic. The only faction for which this is not true are the Tyranids.
therewill be a poll to decide the 5th faction...there will be options...one option will win and be included next if its Tau/IG/Necrons/SoB ...Panda's....it wont matter, itll only get in if its GW/BE approved and they win the vote no amount of tears after thats going to change a thing lol
I think Cronty was looking for a possible means to cut down the amount of different model/skins any newer races might need in order to make them an easier thing to produce for BE..and hopefully see them make it into game just that bit faster
