No, it will only become tradeable. Which is pointless if you can gift it. It won't become marketable.
So apparently if you don't own squadron edition even though you own the original $50 version you can add it to your own library and get 20k rtc. I'll test this out and get back to you guys. If it works, then I'll consider it a perfectly fine gift and we can hold off on pitchforking the devs in the butt. Edit: Does work, check main post for my edit.
Tradeable is where you can open a trade window with someone in your friends list. Marketable is where you can sell it on the market for cash.
In all of your posts you did not mention the "secret nice gift" we are supposed to get, was that actually chanceled or did i missunderstand it? Or were those keys the gift?

The text just above what you marked claims it can be traded after 30 days? Haven't really used the Steam Trading so I don't really know if that means anything, in a last case scenario I think you can sell it on G2A for $2 ^^ EDIT: It doesn't actually have this version of EC yet :/
Trading would only allow you to trade it for other steam items, you can't sell it for steam wallet cash like he said. It doesn't matter anymore, as we can use it ourselves and get 20k rtc instead which is fine by me. Don't hold your breath on that fabled nice gift ever being delivered.
