Firedragons are totaly useless for defending Fortess maps. And I say that, as someone who plays them quite often, if needed and I'm Eldar. But I newer use them on Fortress maps as defender. Why do a suiccide run, when you just can sit on the wall with your Reaper? You will prabably "pay" each tank you destroy with one life, if you ever reach it.... Also, compared to things like stalker bolter, Eldar are not strong at long range, only good in mid- and short-range. That's also a point, why I don't understand your problem with Eldar defending a fortress! A wall full of stalkers, Laser and Plasma-Canons is a lot whorse, then some suicide dragons and Shuriken, which dont hit you because crap range...

I play allmost only play Fortess maps and Hold the Line, and all races more or less equaly at the moment... And I seriously don't understand your problem, Hal9000. Like others already suggested: First, burn the tickets of the wall, then destroy the gates, bring your transports in and put your own heavys on the wall... then its time to take A and B

Lascannons are far superior on Fortress maps than Fire Dragons. And you start with it default. Fire Dragons have to spend like 200 advancement points to unlock meta bundle.

Same thing with unlocking the Reaper Launcher. Reaper Launcher and Lascannon are far superior to Fire Dragon on Fortress Maps.

Yeah right cause the other 3 factions are so extremely beefy, they can take headshots for mins so there's plenty of time to take cover. And they always wait for you to die and switch class enabling to kill them once you respawn. They never change position obviously and most importantly you don't lose the game when you get spawncamped and can't reach your objective because you have all the time in the world to hunt the camper. And ofc they there's never more than one attack from overlapping areas to screw you over for good...not

Reaper Launcher is great against everything on Fortresses. I once destroyed like 10 LSM tanks with it. 3 Vindicators, the rest Rhinos and Predators.

I do agree that the Stalker and Lone Wolf and all fishing for A is a problem.

I once got great results when going in flanking with a Storm bolter. I'm not smart nor good a player, but even than I usually kill 2-3 people with such a tactic, since nobody expects the stupidest and noobest faction (Wear it with pride) to actually flank ever. LSM who do this can outflank even Eldar with stormbolters, if the elves are not careful.

Hawk Pindown can be rather efficient. It comes from an unexpected angle, and can set up very nasty crossfires that other races can't.

Reapers and Mortar Reapers are very underrated by Eldar when defending B. There the Mortar's short range is not that big a weakness, and if you set up a good arc, you can mow down LSM unless you get very bad lag.

I haven't played a full match vs Eldar in months. That's any map, any match mode.

It's not worth the stress and frustration and, most importantly, it's just not fun. If they fixed the vehicle roadkill bullshit and meltabombs x 2 it would actually be a lot more enjoyable of an experience.

The vehicle aspect of game play, specifically attackers spawning via transports, is the most critical aspect of any given match. Eldar having the roadkill cafe running 24/7 plus FD's emerging from those roadkill vehicles after ramming and pinning your transport. Your'e not stopping a FD that's on a suicide mission no matter how hard you try or how good you are.

Still waiting to allow us to queue vs 2 teams at once that way.

I agree, Hawks need to land headshots for minutes to make a kill. Though it really is unfair for camping Hawks to not actually camp and move so you need to actually hunt them. Might it be possible for you or one of the other 14 guys on your team to shoot them down while doing so? Nah, Eldar OP.
