I Really Hope They Learn From The Mistakes Of Warhammer Online

I wouldnt exactly say WAR was doomed from the START. I think originally they had some great ideas, and if they were able to pursue them, it would have turned out ok. But at the end of the day, as others said, the game was definitely rushed. It needed more time and more polish, and some of game mechanics didnt come off quite right. All around I like WAR, despite its problems. But regardless, this game will be leaps and bounds above WAR.

Really, this game isnt even in the same league as WAR, or any other mmo for that matter. In fact I'd go as far to say this game isnt really an mmo at all, or at least not in the typical sense. Its more a hybrid game than anything else. I dont think words like "pve and pvp" really fit, or have anything to do with this game at all. Its not a traditional mmo. Its really just a multiplayer shooter more than anything else, with some RPG elements thrown into the mix. I really hate how the mmo crowd keeps getting involved in this with their silly tastes for pvp and pve. Its a never ending argument that no one will ever win, and its ridiculous. Like someone else said before. This game is about war, plain and simple, nothing else. I want to jump in, shoot, slash and kill. Not to sound harsh, but I'd really like to just see the regular mmo crowd stay the hell away from this game, especially if you "dont want to see another Warhammer online".

Yeah, pretty much. In terms of levelling up it's gunna be more like Dow2 laststand where you get more options and sidegrades, rather than straight up better gear.

only one question, how much money have BE of budget for eternal crusade?, warhammer online has about 50$ million .
  4. this not known to the public yet
the only info is that EC will just cost a little part of that what a normal MMO costs

" we would like to see social areas." enough said. now were getting "combineable" ships. how the hell can you combine 2 ships anyway (unless its a spacehulk)? their influence has already damaged this game even before any actual release, its sad.

  7. then lets just say if a squad gets a ship together then they just sell the small old ones and get a bigger one for it in exchange

Seeing as Eternal Crusade is being modeled very closely to Planetside 2, I hope they learn from SOE's mistakes:

    - No reason to capture & hold territory (Resources irrelevant/non-rewarding)
    - No population distribution restrictions (Everyone rolls FoTM)
    - N0 Endgame (Hit BR100, nothing to work towards)
    - Horrific base design leads to months (1 year now) of having to revamp poorly made bases
    - Poor faction balance (Leads to bandwagon jumpers who switch to whatever is the most OP at all times)
    - Poor map design - (Leads to people playing whatever faction has most territory or best territory: Indar North WG)

    etc
