There was no class balancing before, all classes were frontline powerhouses before. Now classes have dedicated roles.
Honestly, there is a lot that can be done with a lot of different classes. GA is super tanky, sure. But, high pen weapons will likely mow them down because of the changes to how pen works. Making them susceptible to ranged engagements
This will really be that patch of the Orkz (due to them have 25 more EHP than even a Tactical, up from 5 EHP more) and the Non-Eldar Ground Assaults. I know, but that is a Veteran, if you remove 400 Points from that Loadout you would lose some 60 effective HP (EHP = Armour + HP), which would make it a damn dare to play and you won't be able to bring any offensive Psy-Powers without sacrificing even more Armor. Which is kinda like my point, for the Tzeentch Aspiring Sorcerer to be effective you need to use a lot of LP to increase your Armor, but this will remove you ability to be the best"psyker" due to you simply not having enough Loadout Points to equip anything but armor. They efficiently removed the ability to use offensive Psy-Powers as there are no way you can afford to bring them, especially not when a 50 LP Bolt Pistol is better in most cases :/ So my point still stands and the Tzeentch Sorcerer will simply not be worth it anymore. Yep, the Trinkets got hurt really hard by the removal of the diminishing return, the Armor and HP trinkets are kinda useless now The Shuriken Cannon is already worse than a Heavy Bolter due to it being less accurate, so the Dark Reaper is really in a pinch now as the only thing he have going for him is that he got a smaller hitbox, though that won't help him much since he needs to be stationary to fire :/
Well, not necessarily. If you take an offensive spell and get rid of your heal then you're an offensive Psyker and you can focus more points into defenses so you don't get rekt. But, that's the trade off. Offense for Defense or visa versa. Healing for damage, etc. On the TT I would never put my Psykers into CC if I can avoid it. Their strength comes from casting, not melee. They have made it so that Psykers have to pick and choose how they want to effect the battle. Be glass cannons and reap havoc from afar or be a support healer keeping the front lines from taking a beating. Which, to me, makes sense. You could also choose to take 0 spells and just buff your defenses and damage with your FS/FA. But, then you would just be an underrated GA that can't cap. EDIT: Mind you, I realize that the offensive spells aren't that great right now and there are too few of them at this point. But, like all things EC, I'm sure there will be more to come. EDIT 2: I realize that you cannot currently remove the bolt pistol or heal spells. I do recall, however, that they have made mention that they will be changing that at some point (Hopefully soon) so that classes such as the Sorc don't have to waste points on items they don't even use (Such as having to take 2 spells in order to have an offensive spell and taking a Bolt Pistol)
Repeat after me; apothecaries are marines, not arbitrarily weaker because they have a magic healing chainsaw. Sorcerers are marines, not arbitrarily weaker because they have magic powers. Fix this please, thx
