I feel too forced into MoS on Raptor

    Use Cult Shard if you want faster fuel regen guys.
    You only get 2 fuel charges but you do get 45% fuel regen.

    Its more or less inline with Trator Assaults who also get to pick either + stamina charges or + stamina regen.

    I really like the idea behind stuff like the Shard Of Ether, which is +15 Health and +15 of MoN or MoS, and the MoS bonuses to the Fuel wargears.

    The problem is, (a) the Fuel wargears (and the +Charge wargear in the MoT tree) only have one Mark-related bonus, and the Shard of Ether Mark bonuses are the same and (b) there aren't enough similar wargears.

    Given as the Mark takes the Wargear 1 slot, I actually think most or all Wargear 2 items should have Mark-dependent bonuses. By which I mean at least two different bonuses per Wargear 2 item, ideally three or four. This would work a bit better if we actually had a Mark Of Chaos Undivided, but would still be nice outside of that.

    Changing how class-related Wargear (i.e. slot 2 stuff) works based on Mark could open up a lot of differentiation and the ability to up-value Marks that are 'natively' bad on certain classes. Stop things like every single Traitor being MoN by default and the like.

    You can even have thematic 'skips' to devalue certain Marks on certain classes for thematic reasons. Give the Fuel wargear different bonuses for MoS, MoK and MoT, no bonus for MoN. Likewise have MoS not give a bonus on Havoc wargear and skip MoT bonuses on Ground Assault Traitor wargear. MoK obviously already skips sorcerer entirely and Traitors should have access to all Marks equally.

  5. Aha! It's 20% on the 4 fuel.

    I can take Necrotic, 4 Fuel, MoS and get 20% regen delay from MoS, and a frag grenade.

    All MoS bonuses for Raptors are 20%.

    This leaves Cult Shard with 25% + 20% from MoS. Cult-Blessed Jump Pack at +1 Fuel + 20% from MoS. Forged Jump Pack with +2 Fuel + 20% from MoS.
    There is also Fury Nail which gives 3% as a trinket.

    Thats all that CSM has for Raptors.

    Stormboyz and LSM JPA can hypothetically do +1 or +2 Fuel (or no fuel bonus) and +50% or 15% (or choose something else entirely. They also both have a 3% trinket like the Fury Nail.
    Edit, Forget they also have a 25% aswell.

    This puts MoS Raptors somewhere in the middle of the JPA pack. They can't be as good as a mobile as their maximized Ork/LSM brethren but they can be more mobile for "less" with a "medium" build inbetween the more more "medium" Ork/LSM builds.

    Overall it puts Raptors in a pretty weird spot where they REALLY want to take MoS, they can choose not to take MoS for other things. You "can" make MoT and MoK "work" but they are just significantly worse in most JPA like situations where you need to be mobile and moving around to avoid getting blasted.
    Where as the other factions can play around with wargear, armor, etc with much more freedom. Raptors are MoS or pass on regen entirely (except trinket). Every other JPA is take your mix of regen, fuel, or possibly sacrifice both or either to fine tune to what you want for your playstyle.

    Personally I'd really REALLY like to see a MoT bonus on Raptor engines like MoS has. Maybe its not fuel regen, maybe its something else entirely but still a bonus to go "yeah you can use this and not feel like you are sacrificing so much for it".

    Been doing Khorne Manslayer on my Raptor recently. The good thing with the build is the ability to get the jump on enemies when your health is chunked and getting most/all of it back with a strong attack.

    Sad thing is, taking certain marks just doesn't work for certain classes cus their effects are universal. Who would want to put MoN on a raptor when the thing destroys the regen factor so crucial for Raptors as a class? Same goes, say, for MoT TA, those guys are just not working well...
    If MoN raptors gave off an AoE damage fart on landing, MoT had their hitboxes reduced in size while in-flight or something, and MoK had an AoE landing stagger i would proooobably stop bitching about how they crippled JPA with the latest patches :rolleyes:

    I think these two matches I had 10 and 17ms latency at the end of the match.

    Most matches are 250ms +.

    Maybe I'm wrong?

    Much prefer Raptor. God marks are really lore friendly in this game, they really do entice you over from LSM lol.

    LSM just feels like a more safe version of CSM where as CSM feels more 'gung ho' for lack of a better description.

    hm how do you guys get 4 fuel and 50% regen on a regular LSM JPA?

    +2 fuel: 400lp
    50% regen: 400lp
    CS: 200lp
    BP: 50

    = 1050lp

    or am I missing something?
