The new website appears to still be undergoing a lot of changes (I noticed the links to Forums had a redirect loop on it for a few minutes earlier), so they will likely still be cleaning up the massive amount of information they released in the past 5 hours. 99.9999% certain each of those $35 items is a part of the "Extremely rare, purely aesthetic purchases available in limited quantity during the Early Access period"
to use a PS2 analog fitted into this scenario; so all of a sudden ex mags makes the MCG OP? No, BRRT makes the chaingun OP. And ex mags is what's available via founders.
Remember the whole "sidegrade" debacle, maybe it does have more ammo, but maybe the rate of fire is somewhat reduced as well. I'll give the devs the benefit of the doubt, but would still want some clarification. Today everything is a bit hectic, so I would advise being patient and build a list of observations, feedback and complaints and wait for some dev response to them. We should have a thread for this sort of thing, if it exists already I request a link, if not, I might make it myself .
Kinda sucks you can't use the name you'd been going by anymore. =\ (Well, assuming the forums aren't a bit bugged right now, so I understand if things change.) I'm honestly ok with waiting to see more items actually land in the shop before I comment beyond the fact that...if you don't want a 35 dollar bolter then don't get it?
I feel the same way seeing the business model in its physical form for the first time as it will be layed out for the entirety of the game is saddening to see that to get any specific items we need to buy them. also having to buy ammo, grenades, and med packs with real world money doesnt really work with the warhammer tabletop style of a point based battle system, or the video game style of a game that isnt F2P. Im not sure how the game will do since their first entry into the digital market displays microtransactions in a game people pay for.
They've said we can get ammo/grenades/med packs in game using resource points as well, I believe. I'll try digging up the source.
