I don't think I can do it anymore.

Ooooh didn't know this was out, sweet. Thanks for the link.

    You've opened a can of worms there though, because here's where you're "oh so weak" CSM have been in the rankings since the war reports were started;

    Week 3 - 2nd
    Week 4 - 1st
    Week 5 - 1st
    Week 6 - 2nd
    Week 7 - 2nd
    Week 8 - 1st
    Week 9 - 1st
    Week 10 - 2nd

So you have this faction that has never been less than second in the rankings and has spent half their time first yet you're claiming that LSM and Orks are stronger? Really?

Lol the bullshit and salt in this is gold dust.

And what did we learn from our experience with the Eldar players of old claiming this?

Like what @Cegorach said before, Orks are not the only one with new guys. Some of them are already pretty good as I played against some Orks today as my Eldar and they beat my PuG team 3 times pretty handedly.

The Ork kit is actually pretty decent I'd say and honestly just needs tweaks to feel more Orky at this point and some more general "core" fixes like the occasional ignoring of the RPS rules, lp fixes, and looking at OHKs across the board.

Their guns don't shoot fast enough and are a bit too accurate for how much damage they deal. From an Eldar perspective (since the previous comparisons were between SMs and Orks) the Orks are outshooting us at the range where our Avengers are meant to dominate. Also suppression seems like it doesn't do much, but that's likely just a Shuriken Cannon problem.

I'll stop there, but if @Valnak had incorporated the Eldar into the list, the Orks would honestly just look OP at this point. Lucky he didn't, but it's to illistrate that as these 4 races orbit eliptically around this term "balance" the problems that arise one week may have been overshadowed by the weeks prior.

I think suppression in general is very binary, on the one hand it can make aiming at someone firing at you nigh impossible making it feel super punishing on the receiving end, but for the guy with a gun that has it, it doesn't feel much more useful than a glorified point generator (+50 suppression assist kills yay)

Obviously suppression's primary use is meant to screw over the ability to aim so that others can close distance and/or find better cover against an entrenched enemy, but this doesn't happen often as the maps where this happens most are the fortress maps and often they're more about flanking than careful approaches from the front.

The best non-fortress spot for suppression use is going from B->A on Refinery Olipsos(rainy lightning map) since it's an approach without many options and very little cover meaning most players with get minced by staunch defenders. Suppressing these defenders at A to allow tacs and melee to run up the hill with less direct ranged fire is probably your best option using a couple heavies to lay wide but indirect fire to suppress as many as possible in lieu of trying to focus and kill each defender shooting from cover when they pop out.

I think if the meta shifted to more protracted ranged battles, suppression would be appreciated more since it truly does have a huge effect causing "recoil" all over the place for those receiving it. As it stands, melee cares not for things like suppression since it doesn't affect lockon nor the ability to close in against said suppressors.

Perhaps if they added a minor effect like a slow (5%) or lock breaking to suppression to simulate the mental abuses suppression represents (think DoW but not that much slow) its effect would be more noticeable in game. (just some bs ideas off the cuff don't read into them too much)

Refinery Olipsis is the 3 point desert map. You mean Torias, that's the dark rainy lightning map. It's a decent spot. The tower outside of B on that map is also a strong suppression point on that map.

Tbh I only notice a few specifics with the chaos complain faction. Overall the entire faction isn't nearly as infuriating to deal with than the LSM side. With them its a few specifics that DON'T seem to complain.

...and they wonder why people join them just to drive their stuff of cliffs >.>
