I pretty much...sadly...agree with Zhull. Also, I just don't really buy the whole..we can get this or just have nothing, or not have a 40k shooter which would still be neat..blah blah....cuz, There is at least ONE 40k co-op PVE oriented shooter slated for release later this year and a diablo meets twin stick shooter 40k game following up early to mid 2017, both already look damned amazing and the shooter is pretty much done besides polish and tweeking...and it has the right idea...its god damned mind blowing and will be the biggest thing since Dawn of War. The ARPG twin stick will offer a large campaign with different character classes, a cover system..in an ARPG and destructable environments and multiplayer end game content to make it last and huge potentials for DLCs and addons for years to come. If this does not make a drastic turn..it will get overshadowed anyway. When people (obviously not the devs) are worried more about money and the bottom line than game mechanics, fun factor, lore...ffs, setting, atmosphere, replayability, and have little to no interest in said lore or universe in the first place...and get to pull all the strings and pressure the devs..shit..adds..up..shit..addsupanditmakesmedeadinside....money..its a gas, moneyyy..so they say..is the root of all evil tOoday...and countless disappointments to people who have amazing passion for such wonderous a universe as 40k...smashing hopes and dreams and imagination.

So, either way at this point after hearing at the recent news and attitudes and hints of puppet masters, I can't help but feel almost relief to not have to worry at least about this game, and the ability to focus on the horizon of this thing we all here love WILL be imagined by people unrestrained by those that have no real passion for the 40k universe and imagined quite well from what I am seeing and very soon in the near future...thank god for back up plans and those like minded people.

well worst part i saw from nathan , it was from last stream , when people want MMO open world , he said im sorry this is not planet side 2 , i have dev friends from planet side 2 and they will welcome you if you join them , and in old days when game was new , he said world bigger than planet side 2 in one of his old interview. :(

Yep, that sentence was like an invitation to leaving EC (which btw is very welcome :) ). I remember asking Nathan personally a couple of months ago when the iconographic first appeared if all the stuff included is going to be there at launch for 100% - he said, yes, ofc. Now we know the player driven campaign will be a skeleton, I wonder about those 1000 weapons, 1000 augmentations and customisation combinations. Hell, they have problems implementing one single weapon or a single feature, even if they manage somehow to drop all these items in (highly doubtful knowing the history) it will be a mess that is hard to be imagined.

Nathan also said that heroes\elites will be there at 'launch' but in certain degrees of depths - I wonder what that means, will they be even functioning or are we gonna get skins only like with RTS weapons now?

He seriously said that? If there was any way to get refund of money I surely would get that instantly, because of that behaviour. Such an insult to the people who bought this game because they wanted the mmo open world.

Nathan, It's all cool, I just have 2 questions:

    1. Are You sure all these features listed here will be present at launch (especially: persistent world, player driven campaigns and 1000 armour augmentations etc.)
    2. What is the launch date?

Yes, that's why we made this infographic conservatively. Augmentations are a lot of different visual customizations btw and skins, coloring, etc. etc. so you see, there is lots of stuff and combinations to do.

It might not be exactly a 1000. Might end up at 700 at launch and then we drip feed more in or 1300. All depends on how fast @@MichaelChan can work it, work it good.

Ok and the second question? :)

Ok and the second question? :)
Oh yeah - that's "Summer 2016" like in the press release. I should add that somewhere.

  6. There are many different ways to go about a campaign system I dunno if they've just decided to ignore it and go for a plain old 'open world' (years after launch) or what.
All they really need is like 5 maps 3x the size of fortress, stick them on a map, have all of them open for fighting, give each map a 24h campaign time, at the end of that time whichever faction had the most wins on said map captures that map and holds it for a few hours or so, then reopens for fighting.
Then instance/match based maps work, it has an "open"-ish feeling, a campaign system is in place and it at least feels like winning matters.
Its basic as hell, but its all you need.
Just add a few extra maps, so 9, then you have your deep campaign system made up of premade assets thrown together.
I know I'm not working on the game so I dont know how difficult this could be, but really.. It shouldn't be too bad considering what we've already got in-game.

Something I've taken a liking to from playing a lot of Chivalry is... there are a lot of objectives and things to do in each match. Its not just "cap point" which EC currently is and which is a lot like PS2 (even though Nathan says they dont want to be ps2, they're pretty much making ps2 but less interesting, unique and fun).
Gives a lot of variety to the large maps.
Multiple cap points which then open up the way to move forward to a new area with more cap points.
    Kart pushing.
    Kill Warbosses/kill the king.
Basic stuff like that. Along with lots of defense vs attackers with wall mounts, traps and player driven things that add some variety to gameplay.
Anything this basic adding onto what EC currently has would definitely help the game out.

Why so serious, do you think you will tell people what to do? Think again. Everybody who is a member of this community has the right to voice his opinion and act accordingly.

I've have been suggesting this for ages :) .

  10. I know for a fact I didn't pay for another arena shooter, only reason I dished out money for first wave alpha was so I could play a 40k game, even in development that had at least a skeleton of the core game they're trying to achieve. Shooting is one thing but when you turn it into queue for combat, well. Sort of defeats the purpose of calling it an mmo, just lable it TPS arena shooter.
