I know I am not the only one out there who is waiting to actually see these items modeled in 3d/the game before pulling the trigger with my points. The drawings are all great, but we all know from past experience that doesn't always translate over well. Any eta or maybe a dev want to step in and let us know when at least they will be viewable as what they look like in the game?
They are currently working on the models. They should be finished by the time the alpha comes out or has finished. Expect around 2-3 months maybe.
Just a clarification there, you can commit all you want. There is currently no checkout, and the one coming soon wont be a permanent checkout. Basically you will be able to reset your "purchases" at any point in time at your leisure. And this will change only when they are completely sure they have all the looks/stats done (3D view, actual stats and upsides/downsides of weapons not just trivia). So you can expect to be resetting at will till either the open beta or launch. But yes, i too would be interested in 3D models, but they probably wont come before the actual game modules. No point in rushing it before modules when they can do them near/after the module release and actually allow us to test these things ingame not just look at a spinning 3D model. Heres a PM on the subject of testing RTS gear in the modules i had with Patrick: That is a big YES - as soon we have anything from the founder store "modeled" and "imported" to the game (might not be in January for some items, classes, heroes, etc) they will be available for testing in those modules - that's the whole point of the modules we want to see how they work, if they need adjustments, balancing, looks, etc. I think a Strike Criuser is also big enough to have a garage for the vehicles to spawn them too. Though we might not have much room to drive around
As Djemo says, there is no checkout, you will be able to try the weapons before actually spending any money.
And the OP states points. Irrelevant, the actual Relic items are supposed to swap to being bought with RTP soon as stated by Miguel. So again, its about actual point spending.
