It's getting pre-founders server nerfed though... it looks like it's going to be SUPER RIDICULOUS though, as long as you have decent ping (*cough* not me *cough*) because positional synchronisation is something I have had problems with... Will that stop me?! HELL NO! They did state they were going to represent Banshees' ridiculous acrobatics though.
Wait a minute.. did everyone forget that Banshees are supposed to be able to deflect bullets to some extent?! Or did the devs say that was no longer happening?
I guess I'd rather be able to wallrun than deflecting bullets... but If I can have both just like Genji from OverWa... [won't say it], I wouldn't mind... like AT ALL!
Funny enough wall fun gets boring for me. Like in titan fall I just resulted in room to room clearing and iron sight running, but maybe that was for fear of getting punched into a squishy paste by a giant robot.
Striking Scorpions and Swooping Hawks were the miniatures which made me go "Yeah, I'm gonna play eldar because these look COOOOOOL!" back in 2nd edition WH40K, so yeah, those are probably gonna be my classes of choice no, and what we've seen of Scorpion stealth I really like. And what's not to like about raining Down Laser and Grenade Death from Above? Wheeeee.... Get in formation for another bombing run on the filthy Mon-Keigh!
Ha ha for me it was banshees and dark reapers. Back in 2nd Ed, banshee, dark reapers and tons of guardians was a staple for me. In big games I could field 50 guardians with anti grave for each unit of 5(yes 10 anti grave) was so much fun rolling 50 sustain fire dice. If I got first turn it was deverstating. Come to think of it most of my army was guardians and war walkers. With a full squad of each aspect. Stopped playing when they changed the rules and we lost range on catapults. Sad day for me.
Heh. My second edition force tended to have lots of Shuriken Catapult wielding guardians as well accompanied by at least a couple of anti grav platform weapons, usually a D-Cannon and a Scatter Laser. Also jetbikes. Usually 10 or so of them. A couple of what was then Eldar Dreadnaughts (one with a lascannon and the other with a D-Cannon). The remainder was usually filled up with aspect squads (always at least one scorpion and one hawk squad) and the necessary characters. Farseer, at least one warlock, 2 - 3 exarches. All minis modified to actually carry the items their wargear cards said they had. My scorpion exarch was actually based on the little story featuring a striking scorpion with a web of skulls from the 2nd edition codex. Took the old scorpion exarch, cut off the pistol and replaced it with the web of skulls from the Dark Reaper exarch so he was armed with a chainsword and web, then I scratchbuilt a bright lance for the Reaper exarch in place of the web. Ah. Those were the days. And yes, losing range on the catapults in the switch to 3rd edition was a big blow. On the topic of Banshees vs Scorpions though, I'd have a hard time choosing between them in a TT game and would normally include both, but the Scorps will always edge out the Banshees when it comes to which one is "my aspect". I just love their sneaky-stealthy predator vibe.
Sorry for responding to the OP, but that is a LOT of work he went through to simply calculate probability... He could have just calculated percentiles right off the bat.
