Orks are a bit more dangerous with that Power Klaw buff, so I need to watch out for greenskins that replaced their hand with a giant metal death trap now. They're still rather harmless at a distance though, thanks to Ork accuracy. The Kannon is a death sentence. Chaos are still relatively the same. You can 100% judge the skill of a Chaos player based on the Mark he has equipped. Nurgle? Use caution if it's a Sorc, otherwise you're fine. Tzeentch/Slaanesh? Watch your shit because they'll fuck with you no matter the class. Khorne? Laugh hysterically and move along. No Mark? Roll for anal circumference. Aeldari are still squishy and dangerous, but the turning speed buff makes them more manageable. You still need to watch out for Guilds because apparently everyone who wanted to play together decided they wanted to be a knife-eared asshole as well, but regular Aeldari are almost harmless if you understand how glorious the Bolter is. Swooping Hawks are still squishy but more irritating than anything else in the game if they have the Sunrifle. That's about it. Sorry, what was this thread about again? Am I in the right place?
I had a long old bash tonight after a long break & generally the changes don't seem too bad. A good JPA/rap/SB is more deadly now imo or maybe more just need to realise spec'in for maximum fuel/regen = better survivability as long as i-frames exist. My major gripe with the turn speed thing is how do you beat a player with the VSB now? I'm rusty as fook I know but I can't out range them & I can't flank as I fire like I used to, maybe its just me but I felt abit powerless on my DA (TLSC) vs that flavour of Tac but I main Warlock anyway so it wasn't killer I just switched out to it when we needed cappers. On a side note this is first sesh I've had since I got my Antlers! <3 em, awesome work art team.
It hasn't really played a huge factor for me. I used to be a melee fanatic, but these days I'm Into dark reaper more often than not. When I'm not playing reaper, I'm usually a fire dragon, but half the time taking out a Tranport or tank is a suicide mission anyway since there's usually 1 guy guarding it, and at least 1 inside shooting. So it hasn't been a big issue for me yet. I'd say it could be a challenge when I play my scorp, but truth is my targets are usually slow heavy support who's backs are facing me anyway...not a good example to use! Only thing I noticed since the patch is JPA movement seems...odd. It was messed up before at times, especially with lag/latency. but I was playing yesterday and there was a JPA who was literally teleporting while he was jumping and strafing around. It's like he would be in one spot, I'd see him jump pack to the side and he would all of a sudden be behind me. One guy ended up killing 3-4 of us cause no one could track his movements. I know they've been patching the patch since then, so maybe it was fixed.
Which factions are defending their transports? I'd say Orks are the best at protecting their transports, followed by Eldar, then Chaos, then LSM.
TBH I've been noticing a lot of guarding by LSM. Usually there's a JPA inside the transport or tank. Last night I was running down a tank and I saw the lights from the JPA jet pack when he got out of the tank to attack me but nothing else. He was literally invisible. Needless to say I was dead cause I couldn't see him. But I agree orks usually seem good at protecting their Tranports. Especially if they hit waaaagh...then there's a constant stream coming out of them, hard to blow em up then! But last night was a bad night for eldar. I played with a guild for 3 matches, and we couldny even capture one point. Complete JPA spam for a few of them. Regardless the LSM still played well, they definitely were organized. Think I played 4 games last night and all were losses. One was close tho at least. Seems like maybe everyone is having a hard time since the patch after all.
I think this is probably true. Perhaps the organisation has improved a little because of the inclusion of the icons to tell players which points still need capped? Hardly a consideration for Eldar before because we tended to relay that information in chat anyway. Not so much for LSM in particular.
Well wait until the EHP for Eldar gets nerfed as the Devs said they are working on. I myself am not seeing how this is needed at all or in the slightest, but they said they are doing it. This will be the biggest Eldar nerf yet.
It's obvious why they're doing it, look at all the whining coming from the other factions. Especially LSM.
