It seems to me that Orks are meant to be medium-short ranged individuals, at least, that is what a majority of their units are going to be built around as the devs said. So how will they do on a map where they're stuck in (not the way you think, boyz, sorry ) a fortress and have to defend? The walls are pretty tall, and if our weapons are inaccurate, how the hell are we supposed to shoot off of them? Especially with tickets, we can't afford to lose boyz, so what then?
Short to medium range accurate. You get enough boyz shooting off the wall to turn the air into literally bullets with marine shaped holes in it.
Well if losing boyz would be a problem then the Orks should receive more tickets for defense scenarios To simulate their horde-like numbers Other then that, Orks have some of the biggest Dakka there is, I'm sure they can use those as defensive implacements to keep the gitz out. Defense might be easier on an Ork actually When you're attacking, you have to worry about running and shooting But when you're defending, you can just stand still and shoot. One less thing to worry about.
I hear Orks will have no respawn timer to encourage Orky strategy (a.k.a zerging) so I fear for the Orks when it comes to defending a Fortress.
Wot? I sincerely hope that isn't true. Last thing we need is a horde of mouth breathers infesting our ranks just because they don't have to worry about dying as much. (even if that is lore accurate) On Topic: Yeah I was thinking about the same issue the other day OP. Me being a proppa Ork that likes to get stuck in; how the hell am I supposed to do that being stuck on a wall for half the fight? Hopefully our Beamy Deff Gunz are as good as lascannons at least so we can rekk all der stuff!
