How to win as LSM

Apologies. But it seems like the real reason why LSM are losing are the Vets and the High Ranking Killers that are posting here that they are tired of noobs joining LSM. This is not hyperbole. We see the facts in forums and by players declaring it themselves.

Pretend this is an actual army. Pretend you're actually at war. And you hear that your side is getting more warriors than anyone else. Are you actually going to be upset with that?

"But they are new! They aren't as good as me!"

Damn right they are. And how much training did it take you to get to your standing? More over, if you are that good, why not share your knowledge IN GAME AND NOT ON A FORUM to make your faction stronger?

You don't have the time? You're carrying the team enough as it is? Well, again, pretend we're in the army (that most of us probably desperately want to be in because we spend our time playing war games all the time) and see how that flies. It doesn't matter if you're Captain America if the rest the army are pre-super solider Steve Rogers, you are going to get beat.

The players who don't have time for noobs are more dangerous than the noobs for LSM. Why? Because noobs can get frustrated and join Chaos or Eldar or whatever is considered the 'OP' flavor of the month. They can win a few battles. They can see people actually working together. And then they can become the same damn force that's trouncing you in pub games, even though your kill streak is five times higher than everyone else.

And you know what? Those 'traitorous' noobs who are sick of your bile-spewing will probably take great pleasure hunting you down as a Swooping Hawk or a Banshee. Not only did you drive them away into a winning team, but you probably fostered a hate for LSM because all they wanted to do was play a game and have fun but you couldn't stand not winning all the time.

LSM who are tired of new people joining their faction and not instantly being good as them are literally feeding other factions to put LSM lower and lower on the rank. We see the declarations everywhere on both sides. The angry vets and those saying they are going to switch to Eldar or Chaos.

We have the influx. We have it. Set up clinics, you Pub Stomping LSMs. Teach your ways. The noobs might not be as good as you, but if they become a better link in the chain, then we all benefit. Even if it's using PvE to somewhat improve aiming or talk about good group composition.

Say you actually just lose a match or two against a rival faction, But you take your skills and train 3 or 4 in Tank Hunting. That's all you do. Doesn't matter, right? LSM is disorganized anyway. We're probably going to lose the match anyway. So spend the battle passing on your skills. And hey, some of us who don't have skills to pass can, I don't know, spend that match protecting those tank hunters. We all spend time learning to work as an unit instead of coming to these forums and getting mad that everyone new hasn't been blessed with their skills that they took months and countless games perfecting.

Excellent points, but the flip side of that is spending a quarter of the match telling people to focus uncapped points, pointing out transports, and more, only to be ignored or told to fuck off. Many vets do what what you suggest but the new players need to want to learn.

You don't get people without actual training in actual war.
Have you actually ever tried to educate people without voice comm during a game yourself?
I have, and there are only so much I could teach when a game is going on.
I can't issue squad orders, fight 2~3 enemies at once, answer people how to Dbash, while arguing with some rank 2 bastards thinking they are smarter than me why they really should follow my orders and FOR GODS SAKE DEFEND B AND NOT C BECAUSE IT HASN'T BEEN TAKEN YET ALL AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME.
There is only so much I could do during a game if they don't spend time outside a match training in garrison and going to forums to discuss tactics and tips.

The whole switching factions thing? Let them switch. If they are not going to learn in LSM, they are not going to learn anywhere. I'm not playing EC to promote Space Marine porn to start with; I play EC to win my matches as a Marine and seriously could care less for meta-hoppers.

The problem I see in LSM right now is newbs not willing to learn and think they know better than a Rank 6 player. They don't follow orders, don't learn the meta, don't train in garrison all the while giving orders or taking other people's Rhinos or going off to do his own special snowflake thing when he's supposed to be in the point helping people defend.

You sir, sounding like some righteous asshole, is no better than them, since people spending their time posting their condensed experience is out of good will in hopes of someone would actually pass by and take a look. The posts here could not be explained during a match, not even in garrison, since it would not stick and people can't refer back to.
    So STFU.

the thing is its been weeks.... they all cant still be rank 1!

So the only thing i can see is they see a game they can play LSM, WOW how fracking cool.... they play LSM and lose and lose and lose and you get me point and then think naaaa this game sucks balls and leave... Orks not many want to play them so there ranks are soo full of great players its makes them so OP just in skill and teamwork.

CSM only games i have any fun in any more, they dont suffer to much on the new players on there side but you can still have good close games vs them

Elder dont need there transports for the most part... and they are only there to zoom around running players over with the firedragons and there hev rocket type of guys kills any rinos in seconds... more fodder for the lawn mower ^

they also dont suffer much with new players.

Also soo tired of the train your newplayers up remarks.... the game normaly goes down two ways... 1st you spend most of the game trying to get your team to play as a squad and also to hit or defend the correct caps... and it normaly falls on def eyes, and all you achived is removing your self from the fight.

other option is play and just hope there anouther players who know how to play.

Finding it hard to want to play this game of late :(

  7. I have no issue with someone new to a game. Everyone was there at some point.

I have issue with those who refuse to learn, refuse to even ask, refuse to do what is needed, ignore the pleas of those around them, refuse advice from those better than they are, who have their heads so far up their ass that they might as well be Eldar in their arrogance.

Capture the Points, Defend those with Time bonuses, Kill transports. PURGE XENOS AND HERETICS.

The solution to this noob madness is to rearrange the tutorials and then force the new players to go through them so they HAVE to learn how to play.

Yeah, and when the common discourse of new players is, "Why can't I do fucking anything? How come he's not dying when I dump a mag in his chest? What the fuck did I die from? I wasn't even getting shot at!" Advancement is slower than fucking christmas when you just spawn in to die from some overpowered horseshit and you have 0 fucking gear. I mean, look at how MMORPG-like the gear system is. Then look how matchmaking isn't a fucking thing. It's like putting a bunch of level 10's against some max geared enemies in WoW and saying "Just keep swimming, you'll get there!" Because they fucking won't and they'll quit before they see any fucking difference in game play. Maybe if you didn't have to grind shitty loot boxes for a chance at something fucking useful and could just get the shit you need for your build it might be a bit less disheartening for new players. But as it stands, the devs just aren't the least bit worried about retaining new players in the slightest.

I hit level 3 on LSM in 7 games thanks to mercury bolt pistol(1k boxes) and plasma gun, is only better with decent armour, I can rack about 5k exp a game+ with those 2 tools+ frag alone and armour like I said makes it that much better.

I recommended plasma if your dedicated to learn to use it as Plasma is nice as you can stun then unload and they die, you can also use it to sap vehicle exp from vehicle downs by shooting it once, very nice for getting an easy 180 exp

If you can't cope with these then it is a get better approach, you have the tools just be smart, master the knife with melee(playing Eldar fire dragon helps you get good with this).

Flank the map for easy kills and assists and try to execute for the double exp and most important use your brain to defend points still with time and attack points that still give time(many players forget or don't know this so knowing this is a good step to winning), you can do good with basic gear you just have to learn to use it right to get nice results.

Oh yeah and always always headshot, never body shot only headshot, its the best way to kill by far.
