I would even argue that Gears of War level gore is too sissy for warhammer 40k. I need to damn near vomit when I'm hacking players apart in close combat. Fallout might as well be candyland in that regard, I.E. not even close.
It should be at least as much as Space Marine to do the franchise justice. Else people might think Khorne is some sort of good war god.
Fallout 3 is actually very gory in terms of dismemberment and raiders using mutilated bodies as furniture, the only problems is that much actual blood around for a 18+ game. Personally I want the combat to feel like one of those over the top, violent, action movies whith lots of blood spraying around and corpses flying everywhere after explosions or when they are hit by a particularly strong weapon.
Aslong as is isn't over done. Excessvie gore makes it look tacky and comical. I want to be immersed in the Grim Dark atmosphere I don't want to be playing something that resembles a crappy Zombie movie/game that was put together by teenagers.
Just imagine weapon impact ... Chainsword, Powerfist, Autocannon and on and on and on and there can be only bloodshed !!
I got another idea. Make people devoted to khorne have more violent and gruesome attacks. Maybe blood angels too? A space marine or an eldar wouldn't want that much gore, I think?
