That is because the vehicles we have at the moment are armed with AI weapons.Do you think this would be the case if the predators were annihilators and not destructors?
I think that the melta dmg is ok now, what i would change is that ALL the charging weapons must forbid u to move, so u will end with pc, ciclone misile and melta trolling
1. This is subjective. I have a shitload of fun driving around the map, even in a trukk or rhino. I can roadkill, I get xp if someone is gunning for me. If there's ground fighting I can be cover for my teammates or resupply them. If I got more xp for those things it would probably be all I did. Plus it helps the team by keep the transport alive and fielding units all over the map instead of globbing them up at a single point and ignoring the others. 2. Oddly enough, I never use Meltabombs. I keep krak grenade bundles because it makes me more flexible in situations where I have to kill infantry as well. Never underestimate a well placed sticky 3. I agree here. I have been advocating for a FD speed nerf for a while now. They are OP as shit, and the Slaanesh speed buff should come with a bigger penalty. 4. Again I agree with you here. Redeploy time should be waaaay longer to prevent this kind of gameplay. I abhor it as a strategy. 5. Sorry, that makes it tank on tank fightning. If the Orks got a comparable AV loadout, this would be a viable strategy for all races. As a driver of someone is trying to ram you you should be try to move anyway, and if you see a vehicle park and someone hops out, you need to move. It's bad gameplay because people aren't treating their vehicles like vehicles. You can't place a meltabomb on a moving vehicle. It's extremely hard for LSM Tacs/Devs to kill a moving one will a melta and impossible with a lascannon. The other two races need debuts to their melta classes, either speed or toughness to counteract how easy it is for them to close the gap. FD also need to lose the double meltabomb option
I still want to know why no one wants to address the fact that meltas and meltabombs are ignoring armor values. If they did reduced damage to front and sides like everything else strafing melta users wouldnt be nearly as bad. Could leave the bombs doing full no matter side but melta should respect armor
This is probably more to be inline with lore. Meltas ignore armor because hey are supposed to turn anything they hit to slag. In tabletop and dark heresy/rogue trader they are a one burst weapon that incinerates anything it touches, with a long reload/very small ammo capacity. It makes sense. The jet coming out of that melta is about equivalent to the face of our Sun, sinces it's a fusion beam. At that temperature molecules just can't hold themselves together and break into ions. EDIT: Meltabombs do actually observe armor values. Meltagun/Multimeltas don't
